The news sensationalizes violence. People see stuff on TV and think that it's the whole country... The US has some areas in the bigger cities that aren't safe to go, day or night either. like a cat in a sil, I observe life, moving and still. They are following the rules. The law and the courts are clear: if you apply for asylum, you are entitled to due process of your claim. Trump can make all the threats he wants. He can make all the deals with Mexico he wants. If you make it to American soil and claim “sanctuary” you are entitled to a hearing. Trump’s only strategy then is to keep people from making it here. And that’s why the gas canisters came out. Throwing pepper spray bombs at toddlers in diapers is Trump’s way of making an end-run around the American legal process.
