I love the original. Gives me chills. I will check this out as it looks like a deeper look into the story but I need that feeling the original had.

The animation looks superb, but it seems like it's an exact side-by-side replica of the original except with CGI. Kinda unnecessary.

Before y'all come for me with examples of other live action remakes, those Disney movies were adaptations that could actually give a more in-depth look of the original story. For example, Christopher Robin was actually based on a book that gave us more insight of how Pooh thrived, while The Jungle Book was based on a way darker adaptation of the novel, depicting more realistic values compared to the animation.

I'm glad that Sir Elton John is making the music. The original is so good that it better not be touched by anyone other than him.

They can keep it honestly 🤷‍♀️ I am not here anymore for those cheap remakes that only feast on the nostalgia of fans. 

I am also not a fan of everyone calling it live action, because it's just another 3d animated movie. It's an animated movie. And they pay no respect to the original creators of the 2d version with doing these shot by shot remakes....

Thanks, a lot of them could have been more. I still have hope for some like Aladdin and Mulan, but The Lion King is definitely not one of them. That's why I love Cinderella, it still had its own spin and magic as a live action version.

Might be because I'm not used to seeing these characters in non-animated form.

So great to see the familiar scenes in close to live action. 

If done right, it will be box office smasher. Just like The Jungle Book was, which I love.

I have conflicted views ... Certain scenes look totally real and the CGI is mindblowing, almost if it was a documentary by BBC. But there's enough "Uncanny Valley" effect still there... And I'm thinking what is the point of all those new Disney remakes, it's the same movie just with different "graphics". Still, I will watch it just for the visuals I guess.

i mean i was far from being born in 1977 but that sure didn't stop the first star wars trilogy being introduced to me.. I'm not sure a direct remake of those movies would be necessary either
