It's the perfect mix of a mainstream bop and an experimental masterpiece!
My favourite Little Mix album since Salute! Love the songs More than Words, Wasabi, Motivation and Joan of Arc especially!

Ugh, such a predictable song with cliche lyrics. Not even much musical accompaniment with the vocals. We've seen so many of these kinds of songs and videos lately that they all just merge into one. This reminds me all too much of Jessie J's much better song, Queen:

At least she didn't have to do the naked route thing to get the message across. Seriously, how many of these kinds of videos do we need to see to get the message? It's coming across a bit narcissistic at this point. Little Mix are unfortunately feeding into the idea that in order to have body confidence, you have to get naked. In actuality, that's classic behaviour of some of the least confident - it's all a front they put on (or take off, as the case may be). And despite mentioning lines about taking off make up, they're all clearly wearing make up in this video, especially Jesy, who seems to permanently draw her lipliner at least 3mm past her natural lip line and has relied on make up to enhance her looks from the start. If she's make up free, why does she look exactly the same as she does post-make up?

I like Little Mix but a lot of their new material hasn't been cutting it and this is just the icing on the cake. I hope parting ways with Syco isn't going to make them even worse.

Usually agree with your opinion, however I think you’re being a bit harsh on them.. Whether it’s been done before or not it’s a body positive song which is better than a song about love or something more basic, good message for teen girls which is their primary audience.

If they want to be naked then let them be naked, if it spreads a message of body confidence through the promo they’ll get for being naked then that’s a good thing, using their bodies for a positive message?

I also don’t think you should be judging them for wearing makeup, that’s their choice it’s a music video. Just because it mentions being happy without it doesn’t mean they can’t wear it if they want it’s their face.

They've already done many songs like this before, though. It's just tired at this point when they're doing the same thing over and over. Women have been doing the whole going naked thing to spread the same message for a long time now and its not worked. Because if you're truly insecure, videos like this still won't help you. Sometimes, it's just used as an excuse to sex up female artists, ironically. Just for once, I'd like to see a woman say that she's body confident while keeping her clothes on. Men don't need to strip to feel confident, why do we? It's no surprise that men usually direct these videos, juxtaposing confidence with nudity, it's all very manipulative. The thing about the make up is, you've got to match what you're saying. We're fed up of celebrities Instragramming themselves with make up and filters and then telling us that they're natural and make-up free. If you want to send a body positive message, your first step is not to BS your audience.

Fair play agree to disagree then, I reckon women should be able to do what they want with their bodies without the presumption it’s done because a man has directed it but 🤷🏽‍♂️ Is what it is

This so much. Use clothes as a way to empower you. The whole being naked to be empowered thing is cliche and unnecessary.

Makes you wonder who's feeding us these messages? Men, perhaps? I just find it so telling that a great amount of modern feminism revolves around sexuality and nudity (supporting the legalisation of prostitution, encouraging "ethical" p*rn,  #freethenipple campaigns, naked shoots for body confidence, etc). You can tell that there's been men infiltrating things to get women focused on sexualising themselves because of the message: "sex is power, sex is confidence." And any challenging of this idea, like I'm doing, gets you shot down for being a prude, even when you're not. Sex positive feminists are by far the most judgemental and the least accepting to other kinds of women. I think it's possible to be sex positive without supporting unhealthy sexual behaviour and that it's possible to be sexy without being overtly so. I've always said that as a feminist, I believe that if men don't feel pressure to do something, women shouldn't either. And one thing that I've always hated is that men can be considered attractive and sexy while being fully clothed (usually in a suit, buttoned right up to the neck and long sleeved!) but if a woman covers herself up the same degree, she will not be looked at in the same way. It will be assumed that she's trying to give the impression of a serious businesswoman or is prudish or something. Female attractiveness and sexuality is inherently linked to a state of undress and it's very concerning that we don't call out this idea more. But why should we? Its been instilled in our culture for years and its infected our minds to the point where we don't see anything wrong. And if it does get pointed out, we just dismiss it with something along the lines of "yeah...but if a woman wants to be sexual, it's her choice" and then leave it at that. If body types can be challenged in fashion and marketing as they have lately, so can overt sexuality in the same industries.
