Just go looking for the one particular reply and you'll know what one I mean. I can comprehend it and I realise it's a problem as much as you do. I'm not denying its existence, just that there's more than white nationalists committing hate crimes and we shouldn't rush out to assume. You're about the third person who's accused me of trying to defend white nationalists. I've repeated each time that I'm not and never will be for any kind of racial supremacy. You're merely misinterpreted my pointing out of a more complex variety of hate criminals with defence but I can assure you, it was nothing of the sort. No, white nationalism does not equal whiteness but unfortunately, that's the tack I've seen a lot of liberals take lately - the belief that all white people have an innate evil within them, that they all secretly aim to control and oppress minorities to put themselves on top. The reality is, most white people don't have any form of control over others nor are they racist. They're just trying to get by in life, make a decent living, put a roof over their heads, put food on the table, look after their kids. You know, just like minorities are doing. We're too focused trying to keep ourselves going than to try to make others lives worse. So, I'm trying to destroy the notion that only whites can commit hate crime and the assumptions this brings. That's all. Ok but no one is saying that. Your comments can easily be interpreted as you defending white nationalism because it’s the same rhetoric they’ve used victimizing whites whenever possible. In the US, many parts of the SYSTEM, how our society is structured, favors whites. Many of our country’s laws were purposefully designed to life whites up and keep others down. Furthermore, the systematic inequality is the issue, not white people themselves. Fortunately many whites do understand this but many fall into the victim complex and choose to defend whatever ideas they think are being threatened. We also have proud racists in the US who know these facts and thrive off the divide. Conservative whites in the US skew toward victimizing themselves and that’s where you get the idea liberals “hate whites” etc. It’s just a fact. Conservative white males are Trump’s base. They will be the group that is a targer of criticism from the political opposition. No one hates white people. White people aren’t under any threat, trust me. A mere defence of whites shouldn't constantly be misread as a victimhood narrative. If any other group of people can defend themselves without being it being claimed that they're looking for undue sympathy, so should whites. I guess I could question the system you speak of, but at the end of the day, as I'm not American and have never been there, I'm going to let people be spokespeople for their own regions. I just wish that my views of my own continent were treated with similar respect. But apparently, unless you're super liberal, your take on how your continent operates and the problems it's suffering can't be taken in a credible way. Liberals have their own ways of victimising too, they just do it for everything else. Liberalism has largely become about trying to victimise yourself, which has turned so many people away from it. The liberalism that I follow, that I picked up on back in the day, never thought it would come to this. I think, if you want to criticise Trump's supporters, it would be best to tackle what they believe, rather than what they were born as. It just seems a whole lot less biased that way. I'd strongly deny the idea that white people aren't under any threat. Maybe in America, it's limited at best, but elsewhere, there's some threats, trust me. Particularly if you're a young white girl. And that's including from other white people. When it comes to issues of sex trafficking, white women are probably the most abused in the world, right up there with East Asian women. They're unquestionably the highest 2 races in demand. So, being a white woman has never made me feel like I'm safer.

It’s just so similar to the rhetoric white nationalists use in the US. That’s where the interpretation comes from. Your critique of liberalism is fair. Many people say that. I think it depends what lense you view it from. I personally don’t think I’m a victim. However, I do realize some aspects of the society I live in were designed to keep me from obtaining certain things. And I can make a small contribution to dismantling that system simply by living life and opposing those old views. Statistics show conservative White men are the ones who support Trump the most. It’s all intertwined with their beliefs. All stems from how they view life. It’s just facts. And no, white Americans aren’t under any real threat as a whole. It wasn't like this a few years ago, but lately it seems like I'm being bombarded with people who aren't white telling me how white people think, act, operate, what our intentions are and what does and doesn't affect us. I'd rather that, just like minorities, we'd be allowed to clarify how true this is instead of being forced to sit back and bite our tongues for fear of retribution. It's possible to view your political stance through a balanced perspective, noticing when it's right and wrong. Lately, I just can't get away with the overwhelming hypocrisy, contradictions and double standards utilised by my fellow liberals and I can't stand these traits in anyone. I think it can only serve to make the cause better when we can face up to our own flaws and repair them. I never said they weren't his biggest market but that doesn't mean these men think like this because they're white or male but rather because they're conservative. Conservatism doesn't always need to be tied to gender or race in this way. It's a way of viewing life, it exists in all races and cultures. Every country has its own version of conservatism, even ones that aren't white. Well, maybe research the rape statistics in Europe. The amount of white women getting raped by immigrant men is appalling, particularly in France, Germany and Sweden. And the amount of sex trafficking of white girls by both British Pakistanis and immigrant Muslims in the UK is so bad that the police covered it all up for fear of how it would reflect on the country's Muslim community. A dramatised version of events was even put onto tv after the whole thing came to light. And it still continues to this day. It's clear that white women are preyed upon because of the sexual stereotype of us that is prominent in these cultures as well as the stereotype that runs through Western society. It's also proof that even the ideal of whiteness as the ultimate beauty standard means whites will also be a victim of it as it means we are highly prized as a sexual commodity and a thrill for men who have been brought up to believe that they should only marry into their own race. Well, when someone says they aren’t attacking whites maybe you should consider it being true (usually). And yes, white males are his biggest market but it’s not just because of conservatism. Politics is very racial in the US. Statistics show support for Trump goes like this from more support to less support: White males, white females, Asians, Latinos, Blacks (Males always supporting him more than females in all groups) (I’m excluding other racial/ethnic groups) Most Europeans don’t seem to understand just how racial EVERYTHING is in the US. So it’s not radical to point out which group is the most responsible for this presidency. It’s clear as day. White males also make up most recent high profile shootings, terrorism related or not. But the point is, calling it out is not hate. White men in the US are not a marginalized group. Trump uses fear and white victim complex as rhetoric to appeal to his base. If you were American it could probably appeal to you as well. It’s a tactic he tries to use over and over again: fear.

Conservatism is always bigger among males than females, same across all groups because conservatism has routinely screwed women over throughout history. I've never denied that. I do understand how racial things are in America, trust me, I research it all the time. When we give you our take on it, it's more a case of "here's how we handle things, perhaps you can try these methods instead?" Of course I knew that whites were who got Trump into office. But that doesn't mean that their race was the primary reason why that was, so much as he was just telling them what they wanted to hear on many accounts. I'd say that any mass shooting was terrorism, but yes, I'm well aware of the racial demographics of it. But that's partly because whites are a majority in America, so of course, they will be naturally highly represented in crime statistics. It stands to reason that the bigger a group is, the bigger the likelihood that there will be more than a few criminals in it. It's not common, however, for lesser populated groups to be overrepresented in crime statistics. I'm not suggesting they're marginalised but that doesn't mean they should be granted no respect. You're essentially saying that you're fair game to be criticised as long as you're not oppressed. Doesn't seem very fair. The morals of right and wrong doesn't care which group you belong to. No, it wouldn't appeal to me at all because I recognise the exact things you point out. You say it as if I don't see what he's doing. I want to make it clear that I'm not a Trump supporter. I was just as devastated as you when he won. I've just tried to deal with the outcome in as best a way I can manage as opposed to being self-sabotaging like other liberals. It seems you're directly correlating hate being acceptable only when it's towards a dominant group. That it can't even be classified as hate when it's aimed at a dominant group. By the way, I'm sorry to see that your Zayn thread got locked. Contrary to what you might envision, I'd planned to make a very diplomatic response about religious freedom and free will and how we should respect everyone and their choices but it sadly wasn't to be. I felt it would have made up for this little set-to. But just so you know.

People don't realize that neoliberalism is right wing because they don't know that liberal doesn't mean leftist and that the American democratic party is socially liberal but still right wing unless you talk about progressives like Bernie or Elizabeth Warren who only recently started getting a platform. The democratic party is far from left wing and that's been the case for decades now. It sometimes has a few leftist elements though. Republicans have become far right and democrats are center-right with a few left outliers. Check out iTunes data & graphs at CHARTPOP.live
