Rino 5,120
2009-2011 (TFM - early BTW) Will she have a similar global dominance ever again? 月にかわって、おしおきよ!🌙
zakariah 11,721
Personally, I believe that Gaga is & will be able to re-peak in her career, in fact she's kind of re-peaking right now with ASIB & Shallow, but on a different medium this time. However, I don't think she'll ever be able to hit that level where she was on everyone's mind and lips ever again, mainly because she's no longer a 'new' and 'shocking' artist anymore. By now, the whole world knows of her 'crazy antics' so people have either become desensitized to it or just don't care that much anymore. Adding on to that, the trend during that particular period of time was Pop, more specifically Dance/EDM/Pop, which was exactly what Gaga was serving at that time, and she had the advantage of being one of the first ones to start serving us 'pop bops' of that era, so she had the upper hand because she basically called the shots on how/what passes as trendy pop music at that time. But this is just how I see it, other will see it differently & that's okay, but to me, Gaga will never be able to reach that global dominance again, mainly because of what she managed to accomplish when she was at her peak. Rino 5,120
the thing is, I was sure as hell that ASIB was going to bomb and be panned and that Gaga's acting would be slammed left and right, but the bitсh surprised everyone including me with her great acting skills. plus the movie is doing good as well. what I'm trying to say is that she seems to be so full of surprises. maybe there is another trick left up her sleeve that will launch her into global dominance like the good ol' days? I know I'm a flop fan for holding on to this hope even till this day. 月にかわって、おしおきよ!🌙
Rino 5,120
I just want her to be remembered and respected as one of the greatest of pop music history, along with Michael Jackson and Madonna. with the way things are right now, I'm not so sure about it I don't want her to become a Barbra Streisand or Cher of our generation, her heart and soul are pop and she belongs with the greatest of pop 月にかわって、おしおきよ!🌙

Mister Gaga 22,924
No. She'll have ocassional moments of huge exposure (like the Super Bowl, ASIB, probably Oscars 2019), but there's no way she can achieve that kind dominance that lasted almost 3 years straight. I mean, there's no way. She could somehow have a 2nd peak, but she needs a couple of popular songs with huge radio support (ain't happening), streaming (she's improving on this field) and a little bit of controversy, let's be real. And now a days she's playing it too safe in that aspect.

Beyonce really peaked, in my mind, two or 3 ago. Like she was always the example or the talk, that reference people always had. And this was a consolidation of many years of seeding this image of heart in people's hearts. It's still possible for Gaga, it would be different, and depends on how everything works out
Glamourpuss 29,062
I don't know why so many fans underestimate her. She has far exceeded expectations with ASIB already. You just need to look at her Instagram photoshoots to see that the bitch has still got it. She's gonna blow us all away when she surprises us. You can call me delusional if you want but I think it's about time her fans believed in her and started rooting for her instead of setting limitations for her. It's Lady Gaga ffs, of course she could achieve it again. It's just a question of does she want to?
DelusionalGaga 29,580
No, definitely not in the same way as in 2009/
derpmonster 22,412
She will. To me, re-peaking would mean her music is widely played and she's kind of a household name globally. Definitely gonna happen again and with much more respect than last time which she's earned over the years. erfaan 2,830
Honestly from a commercial stand-point, she's kind of doing it now. ASIB has given her hits and broken records, she's just doing through a non-pop medium. Take Australia for example. She's had the number one album, movie and single for almost three weeks running now. She never achieved that during TFM with both an album and single being #1 at the same time. Gaga didn't even have any #1 single's in Australia during TFM. Literally everyone is talking about her and this movie. Come February and oscars season she'll be everywhere again. imo, she's more mature now and a grown woman, who is achieving very similar success in other fields now. But Gaga has built many walls, i think she's too sober now to really go for it all out. I feel like she controls herself many times The thing is she has it, she has a fierce thing going on, everyone that meets her feel this energy, she'll always have the charisma and she has talent, and keeps learning. But... i feel like if she really goes for it it's because she's in a worse place, and dont want that. Moderate success is good, she can be a bit more successful but not that over the top thing we witnessed. it was too much
Hurem 17,800
No. I don’t think people realize that Gaga’s first era (The Fame + The Fame Monster) was truly a phenomenon that’s not gonna happen again anytime soon. And most definitely not with Gaga herself. She is, however, repeaking with ASIB.
KatieJudasGaga4 67,907
No, but I think I prefer the GP loving her more than thinking she's an untalented pop star. She has truly proven that she is one of the best vocalists of all time and yes she did have fantastic performances vocally and artistically during TFM, the GP only noticed the shock factor, like with the MTV 2009 performance, she gave us vocals, but people only remember the blood....now, the GP knows she's a great singer and I prefer that more than commercial success, but commercial success is great too.
