What if... (original ARTPOP Era)

I got bored so I created this fake era...  It’s very similar to TF/TFM

Gaga decided to release the album pre-hip break. 

ARTPOP: ACT 1 - December 2012

The first single (and song off the album) is Burqa, where Gaga invites listeners to look behind the Burqa, and see the “true” Gaga. The music video serves as the opening of the ARTPOP story.

The second single (and song off the album) is MANiCURE, which is still very similar to the 2012 leak, and in the music video Gaga shows you the world of “pop’s wife”, and features Lindsey Lohan. 

The third single is Red Flame (Pump it), featuring Azealia Banks. The music video is very simple, and features the two directing a fashion show. It drops the night of the album release. 

The album is very fun and danceable. Other songs featured are Donatella, G.U.Y., Ratchet, and TEA. 

Right before her hip break, Gaga announces the release of the second act, which is much more personal and honest. She breaks her hip before releasing the fourth video, but she continues to tell the story of ARTPOP while on break. 

ARTPOP: ACT 2 - May 2013

The first single off the second act is Mary Jane Holland, and the music video displays darker imagery and and a change of Gaga’s character. She is also now brunette, compared to the all blonde imagery of the first act... “my brunette starts to sprout”

The second and last single off ACT 2 is Princess Die, which shows the decay of the pop star image and includes a very personal music video. 

The album is very dark and covers many serious topics. Other songs featured are Swine (a slower and more emotional version), Sire, and I Wanna Be With You. 

ARTPOP: The Complete Edition - August 2013

Gaga recovers from her hip injury and begins to promote her last ARTPOP single, Applause, which is featured in the Complete Edition of ARTPOP. The imagery is very similar to the ones we got for the actual era. Bonus tracks for the complete edition (Which features both ACT 1 and ACT 2) include Applause, Gypsy, In Like With You, and Venus.

Putting it in a perspective ARTPOP was better off as one album. Act 2 could've ended up as a Lotus a.k.a. a straight flop following an underperformance  

Still anticipating a leak tho

Agreed. I do think she could have done a double release OR actually used the app to release 2-3 additional songs that didn't make the album cut, but that would be all I need from additional ARTPOP. I love the album.

This is a cool concept and could totally see it being one of the early day ideas. I feel as though she knew she wanted the videos to be a bit more full on and chaotic which is what we got, but this idea is still cute. 

I feel as though you captured a glimpse of what ARTPOP could have been.

I like the concept but I feel like Venus should’ve gotten a video and Applause should be on there.
