Hopefully Billboard posts about this massive milestone for a late 00's debut artist. I think the only artists who have sold this many albums that debuted around the same time or after Gaga is Adele. Bieber is under 12m still I'm sure. Drake should be under 11m. Bruno is under 7m with 3 albums. Don't think any woman that debuted after Gaga would be near that total? If you include video albums, Gaga passed 12M albums 2 weeks ago already. I don't think they'll write about it (just like when they didn't write about it when she crossed 11M last year). Arturo 40,746 Posted December 4, 2018 Share Posted December 4, 2018 Updated numbers after 1 month: Million Reasons 2.5 million units (+45k) Perfect Illusion 945k units (+7k) At this rate PI won't be Platinum until August 2019. The struggle to move another 55k units lol.. MR holding up well but it's still probably not going to make it to 3m even within a year. It's gaining too slowly and now that ASIB's catalog effect is ending I don't see it getting there until 2020. And that's assuming it doesn't just flatline.
