I was reading some of the comments and people treating actors like they are like pop stars saying that they owe it to their fans.

I'm not saying it's entirely not true, but compared to pop stars, I think actors are in a completely different industry. Most people watched a movie not because they are fans of a particular actor. Most watched a movie because they find the story interesting. So I don't agree that we should treat actors the way we treat pop stars.

Most people love pop stars because of their character even though they don't always love their music. So musicians mostly owes a lot of their sales from their fans. So, no, an actor does not need to let you do whatever you like to them. if you would like to take a video, heck even just a picture, you should ask them if they're ok with it or not.

I wouldn't compare a drunk man attacking Jackson Maine to a polite woman asking for Rami Malek to say hi to her friend. Yes, both might not be right, but there is a clear distinction between disrespect and envy. The woman wasn't screaming at him like one of her best friends that she's known forever. She politely asked if he could say hi to her friend, to which he politely declined.

Did u watch a different movie? Ally punched the man when she heard he wanted a celeb picture to spite his ex. What drunk man attacking Jackson?

You said he politely declined still to you that’s somehow a problem? Also, celebrities did not “sign up” to having random fans stop and ask for their photo/autograph. They sign up for interviews, promo tours, photoshoots etc, and while giving fans interaction is a good PR tool, fans are certainly not entitled to this. Don’t scream “I bought your album/watched your movie, now sign my copy/take a video message with me BECAUSE I CONTRIBUTE TO YOUR SUCCESS!!!!”

Lol he doesn't owe her a damn thing. Also please note how this girl has 0 problem using this encounter for attention on social media. She got what she wanted in the end anyway.

Why is he against videos? He needs to remember that his fans are the ones that bring him his fame and they can also end it.

No this is such a disrespectful outlook.

Fans choose to follow him, and support his work. If someone liked one of my Instagram posts or bought some damn lemonade from me on the street, that doesn’t mean I’m obligated to do anything for them.

Celebrities are people. They deserve the same respect as anyone else.

You signed up for the cameras in your face. It doesn't matter how wrong it is or if you don't like it. That's the price that comes with fame.

100% incorrect.

They signed up to have professionals film them acting or singing. Not fans following them around outside acting entitled.

I fully support the celebrities who choose to protect their privacy.

I’d slightly disagree regarding the context of the scene in the film. Ally was pissed even when the cashier snapped the picture.

The point was how celebrities are are treated like objects versus people. The thing people don’t grasp, is that celebrities jobs are acting in films or singing on stages. They are not paid to take pictures or videos with fans outside hotels.

LMAO he is actually the only one who is responsible for his fame. Fans come with fame. And he is not obligated to take videos with anyone. He was polite and he said he’ll take photo with her.

Thanks! His talent, hard work, and dedication has brought him fame. It's not like the fans casted him in Mr. Robot, BR, etc...

No he doesn’t, he’s not on some teen-series where the show depends on how sexy the audience find the actors; he’s on “Mr Robot”, a solid show that holds its own through the plot and acting, the average audience are in their mid 20s and above, they don’t ‘stan’ the actors more than they’re fans of the show itself, and his performance is outstanding. If refusing taking a vids will make him lose those young, clout chasing “fans”, then be it; cuz a mature person with a healthy mind wouldn’t be pressed about those kind of stuff.

Rami's response was very classy and it's not like he threw the fans phone to the ground or said "**** this" then left. :interestinga:
