In other words, he brainwashed people by creating an atmosphere of fear, in which he was the only one able to save them from it. But we will have to fight, he wants to make easy access to guns, reduce the age for someone to go to prision and he wants to give the cops right to kill without any investigation. We're dammed to live in 4 years of the darkest times since the millitary coup and pray that we don't pass through another one. Here in my city there was a fb post mobilizing a gay extermination group, there are some treatening messages on grindr and reports of groups of supporters of the president at the clubs. And we're not the only minority suffering, I have an iterracial couple as friends and yesterday, even before the election, there was supporters that was hostilizing them just outside their own house. But I'm not scared, I'm more strong and feeling supported than ever. Love will always win. Para os brasileiros, gente, tomem cuidado com os encontros marcados por esses apps de pegação. Just look at our own gay community. "no sissy, manly only, straight acting only, no slim, no fat, no asians, asians only, no blacks, no latinos, prefer white men, prefer fit muscular goodlooking etc.". Sure, maybe you'll be attracted to only certain skin colors or certain body physiqyues, but it doesn't explain why a predominant group of people prefer white guys, that kinda shows that we are all programmed to think that white people are more superior therefore thinking other races are inferior which means race discrimination. So we've seen great progress in this decade in terms of conversation and more effort towards acceptance but it will always attract strong opposition because deep rooted bigotry still lives in us. We are only beginning the fight so people like Trump, Bolsonaro & Duterte will appear and give power to bigotry. We may or may not see the kind of acceptance we are fighting for just as the suffragettes in the 1910s may not see women's rights at the state it is today.
