Aubrey Plaza will be starring as Karen Barclay

Gabriel Bateman will be starring as Andy Barclay

Brian Tyree Henry will be starring as Detective Mike Norris

No info has been released on who the other cast members will be playing but everyone seems to be having tons of fun on set!

Not to mention this is The most diverse cast in a Chucky film. This Cast has more diversity than all 7 previous Chucky movies combined.

Regina George

I’m actually interested in seeing this movie. I’m all here for reinventing old movies and giving them modern twist.

Those giving me “sad” reactions are not being realistic because most of old movies from 80s 90s in todays culture would be considered homophobic, sexist, racist etc.. So don’t be all extra about not wanting remakes that are more for modern culture.

So don’t come here all against remakes when innocent teen comedy from 70s/80s such as “16 Candles” uses F word every 5 minutes.

The doll looks better than I expected. I remember being a kid watching the original one in the theater (in told yall I'm old lol) and for some reason I found it hysterical. I laughed and laughed.  Lol.  It's a silly premise but alot of fun.

Meredith Grey

As a super fan of Aubrey Plaza i can say that she is perfect for this series and I was worried about this movie until she got added.

I died for a good 10 min when her and Brian were confirmed to be apart of it. I know she’s going to completely blow this role out of the water

Exactly.  Me and him were probably the same age honestly and I kept going "dude....its called WALKING. Or idk maybe RUN?!?!"  Hahaha. That's so funny because I was thinking the same thing.

While the plot is little odd, I do think a remake was necessary in order to distract from how far the original series has been ran into the ground. Cult of Chucky was some bullshit.

I feel like you can't take Chuckie out of the 80s/early 90s, the cool thing was that he looked just like a real toy of that era:

The new poster makes him look like Annabelle or something. There's nothing scary in something that is stereotypically scary IMO.

I think it can be done, Take Teddy ruxpin for example. Popular toy from the 80's similar to the good guy doll

Which recently got a huge digital upgrade and turned into a toy for todays generation

with the rise of evil doll centered movies, I think it can be done correctly. Especially since it's produced by the guys who did the 2017 IT movie
