Gaga4stef 112
I agree both these songs are as good or better than anything else on the OST. They could both easily be #1 hits if given the chance. I can't stop listening. Some of the best lyrically in ages. Very powerful stuff from Lady Gaga that needs to be exposed to the masses. It would he a shame if these gems don't get their share of the spotlight and go relatively unnoticed by the general public. androiduser 7,438
I think Always Remember Us This Way is a stronger and more original choice than INLA... INLA is trying to hard to sound like a movie ballad, too many similarities and references, and it seems like the audiences are warming up to Always Remember... much more

It ain’t doing too bad in the Top 40 of worldwide itunes either. it already has some appeal for a (bonus) credits track

So I guess we'll see. And Perfect Illusion before MR And now Shallow before ARUTW History repeats itself over and over Except this time Shallow is actually a HIT... surprisingly. Maybe it will work to give ARUTW some more momentum.

Maybe it will work to give ARUTW some more momentum. To be fair I don't think they did push Shallow as such, to begin with I think it just caught on fairly organically. And though it was never going to be a hit, I think PI was the right choice for lead single because it provided a bit of continuity between Gaga's previous dance-pop singles and the sounds she was exploring on Joanne. It might not have been a hit with the GP, but it didn't alienate the fans like A-YO or potentially even MR could have done.
