Morphine Prince 105,659
What an attention hooker. Yawn, Gaga shouldn't have to handle this BS :coffee:
loljustinwat 1
I think that's a bit unfair It's not that the members here can't discuss it in a mature matter it's just this is a bit out of the ordinary for a lot of people, not everyone is studying psychology, especially not Gaga. All I see is he is either looking for attention in the wrong place because he is seriously ill or just looking for attention from Gaga and looking at his profile it seems like the latter You don't have to be studying psychology to handle the topic in a mature way. Half of the comments in this thread are downright rude and disgusting. Ignorance is not an excuse for being rude.
HausOfGaga 0
Ugh. The nerve of some people. Attention seeking i just read a comment on his newest photo: Phillip GaGa 36m I'm sorry. I really got to think about killing myself. I will not post more +1 Like Down • Reply

SKANK 14,288
When Princess Die came out, the comment sections on different blogs/websites were identical to this thread. Everyone was calling GaGa a desperate attention wh0re for speaking candidly about her issues with depression. Everyone just needs kinder to this kid. FairyDreams 4
Oh and he probably regrets putting this up... if any of you have ever felt this way, you act on things you probably wouldn't of done after you've cooled down, basically he was not in his cool and collective state of mind. He was probably just super upset at things in his life, acted out without thinking it through properly, but doesn't excuse this behavior. I just hope this is the ONLY time this happens. Samuel 3
Gaga is a wonderful philanthropist and has done a LOT of good for a LOT of people, and how personal and sympathetic she is to her fans is refreshing. But I do worry sometimes that the relationship she fosters with her fanbase is actually unhealthy for certain members of it. This is terrifying behavior on SO many levels, regardless of whether or not it's genuine or a plea for attention (which I think is likely). Just so much wrong with this. Either way, this person is mentally unstable and should seek help ASAP. Yep. Literally couldn't have put it better myself... Please get into journalism... You've got a real talent for writing, and putting your points across in such a eloquent way...
alffy74 53
Guys be compassionate. We don't know anything about his motives, whether real or fake, and our assumptions are just assumptions. The issue here is: is this worth discussing if nothing positive comes out of it?
Jenniferella 2,774
And lets be honest no one commits suicide using a knife. That's pathetic, I wish I didn't learn about this "I have been writing LG5 since I was 13"

I don't think people are being rude I think they're being realistic, he posted a photo of a knife to his throat and the rest of his photos are all about his love for Gaga, Tara, even Fozzi. He's copied Gagas tattoos onto his arm a lot of fans obviously do this. I'm not saying suicide, depression and mental illnesses should be brushed away because they're obviously a serious matter. But people do need to look into things deeper and notice a plea for attention from a celebrity they adore or a plea for help from anyone who will help them stop themselves seriously taking their lives. pink sushi 4,351
Disturbing as fukc tbh. So many people treat Gaga like a suicide hotline.....As if she's just standing by waiting to talk fans out of suicide. She's a SINGER....and as much as I'm sure she loves and cares for her fans, its not her job to help them like that. She's already done more than enough to help them, with the message of BTW. Any further help should be done by a psychiatrist... And I'm sure many of these "suicidal" people are just seeking attention. Its disgusting. I hope Gaga doesn't feel guilty or responsible for their actions.... :(
Vanilla 664
Even if this is (a particularly desperate) attention-seeking maneuver, it still should be treated with some compassion. Lots of "suicidal" people make such threats in order to draw attention, and even if they don't genuinely want to bring harm to themselves, it still typically indicates a real depression, a real need for help. Anybody that would do this clearly needs to talk to somebody. Both about the things depressing them, and about their methods of coping. Listen, I agree with you that he should recieve some compassion, but I'm just saying that a lot of people disagree because they write him off as attention seeking and don't ask themselves why they're that way, and genuinely don't care. "Anybody that would do this clearly needs to talk to somebody" Not really, some people are just desperate for Gagz's attention I won't die, but I can't live without you

If you don't find some of the comments in this thread or on his picture rude, then I really don't understand what your definition of the term rude is. Regardless if this particular person wanted to kill himself or not, when people publicly spew vile comments about suicide, depression, etc. others who may be going through those things may read it and feel like they are even more worthless. I don't think anyone in this discussion is denying that he wants attention, but wanting attention is a red-flag in itself. I think you've misunderstood me because I do not think Gaga should intervene, but I think those who choose to comment on the matter should be respectful. If you think he's being stupid and has a hidden agenda with his suicide threats, fine. But why comment and bully the person further if that could actually drive them into doing the exact thing they had joked about (or someone else witnessing the conversation)?
