Everyone was calling GaGa a desperate attention wh0re for speaking candidly about her issues with depression. Everyone just needs kinder to this kid. Agreed. All these immature "ATTENTION SEEKING HOE" comments are making me furious. As I'm sure many of you know, when being in the suicidal mindset, all rationality goes away and the subconscious does whatever it can to save itself. This was his way of reaching out. Childishly calling it "attention seeking" and being upset that it "inconveniences you" is extremely selfish. Suicide is very preventable, but sadly it is overlooked because most people are insensitive and only care about their own issues. You can not criticize someone's behavior when they're sick and hurting like this. I'm glad he's okay and I hope he doesn't go back into that mindset again. How they criticize her and write about what they think she should do instead of what she does? She would probably get really sad seeing some of it I bet. I could understand why she wouldn't, but I think she lurks around at times. It's one thing when her haters do it but when her actual fans do it or rather people who say they're her fans, I'm sure it hurts her and makes her feel like she isn't doing good enough. I'm not saying I approve with everything being said and discussed here, there are always things/persons in fanbases/sites that are harsh/dumb/... So yes, I agree, also here on GGD. The thing is that I have a feeling that, in general, we talk much more reasonable on here (of course we also make jokes and talk childish, but on purpose). It's true, sometimes the criticism on here goes a bit too far, but there isn't anything wrong with criticism itself if it isn't in a rude way. Just because we love Gaga (like really much) doesn't mean we have to faint of excitement or agree with everything she does. GGD isn't the only place where people aren't satisfied enough or just want more. Have you seen all of those posts on LM demanding this and demanding that. So, yes, maybe I'm pointing my finger a bit too much specifically at LM, but I still think, if we compare, GGD comes off better in most of the criteria. gagaluna 0 Posted August 16, 2012 Share Posted August 16, 2012 this whole thing is really out-there - - - - - in a way, I feel bad for Gaga to be put in such an awful position, but on the otherhand, when she presents herself as the leader to save the bullied and suicidal, then inevitably stuff like this is going to happen. Frankly I'm surprised this doesn't happen more often. When she says things like feeling her fans' pain and being there for them - - well, eventually some nut/desperate soul is going to take her QUITE literally. Not sure who's to blame here - the guy is either really hurting or reeeeeally pushing it to get Gaga's attention. The whole thing could just be a prank that he and his friends pulled just to get Gaga's reaction. I know someone who did the same thing once with a famous ball player as a prank. It was totally sick. I have to admit that Gaga handled the whole thing really well. She must've been terrified though - what if it WAS for real? I bet there will be PLENTY of conversations in the Haus about this - and how she should handle future instances - there could be copycats. Either way - this is what happens when teenagers with squat for brains go playing around in social networks and misuse what could be really good - - and judging from some of the mindless comments on this thread - point proven.
