This also includes the male category of Best Actor. No Actor/Actress has ever won either of the categories whilst out of the closet. The last openly LGBT male to be nominated was Ian McKellen (who's gay) in 1998; 20 years ago.And the last openly LGBT female to be nominated was Angelina Jolie (who's bi-sexual) in 2008; 10 years ago.
