Legit never hear MR on the radio here (Van or Montreal). But I did hear PI a lot the DAY OF release (and never again after that) 

I heard MR a lot on HAC radio.

What happened is that the song peaked on the 3 different formats at different moments.

It kind of peaked in streaming when it got released, then it peaked in sales the week of super bowl, then it peaked on radio way after. so the 3 formats and the formula of the hot 100 at that time didn’t align to ensure a top 10 peak for MR.

The US had a promotion on iTunes for MR same week as the SuperBowl (69 cents) which gave it extra sales and made it go top 10 for that 1 week. We did not have that promotion here so it only went top 20 (#16 I think it was)

 

If we had that promo it may have just cracked the top 10

 

Anyway ballads or country style music tends to do slightly better in US than Canada which is probably why "You and I" also peaked higher there too

If we had the 69 cent iTunes promotion like the US did the week of the Superbowl it may have cracked top 10 cuz it wasn't far off (#16 I believe)
