Hello guys, this is my first time making a review that is why I need your comments/suggestions before I post it everywhere. LoL

“A STAR IS BORN” reaction paper? or review maybe? by Gerry Gaga. :)

- STORY -

A Star Is Born had a tragic ending, an almost perfect love story with intense reality slicer. First Time Director Bradley Cooper did not have to show/act every happening/scene “literally” and that’s why this movie is so good & catchy. The strength of this movie is that it is simple, the movie doesn’t have any distractions and the simplicity will bring you closer to the story. Some powerful scenes were partnered with less lines but with its deep story-telling, you’ll totally love this and will find yourself very affected.

- ACTING -

Lady Gaga (who already won a Golden Globe Award as “Best Actress” for her lead role in TV series “American Horror Story: Hotel”) is very natural, Ellen DeGeneres did not lie when she said it looked like Gaga did not had any script because she was too natural. This is her first time starring in a movie but her acting is deserving for all the acclaim that she is getting. Her smile, tears, eyes, eyebrows literally & overall facial expression can tell a story. Let’s not forget her body language that was well displayed during La Vie En Rose, she is phenomenal and I’m not joking. Forbes Magazine who said that she deserves an Oscar for her acting in this film did not lie as well. Congrats Lady Gaga.

Bradley Cooper, a veteran in the acting/movie industry is obviously good in this movie. His portrayal as a drug addict & alcoholic is very convincing & strong. There’s a scene with only his knees/legs are on the screen but you can totally feel that a story is being told, anyway that was an intense scene I can’t spoil it here. Congrats to Mr. Cooper as well.

- MUSIC -

It’s already given that Lady Gaga is a talented vocalist but she still surprised me in this film. Her ballads are very warm & heartfelt. You can totally hear her voice shift from falsetto to soft whisper just to fade “I’ll Never Love Again (extended)” beautifully. Oh my gosh, call me OA but she did that. Deserves the Oscar for Best Original Song.

Bradley Cooper, he trained for this musician/singer role and wow, I can’t believe he just made his debut as a singer. He sounds so good and his voice has that country/rock/folk vibe, a perfect fit for Gaga in their duets.

“A Star Is Born Soundtrack” is a compilation of Live-Recorded Pop, Ballad, Jazz & Rock songs. A deserving big winner for the 2020 Grammys.

- THE MOVIE ITSELF -

A Star Is Born is the daughter of Titanic & The Bodyguard. Heavy drama with beautiful music that will electrify your whole body. All scenes are important. PETA awarded director Bradley Cooper its Compassion in Film Award for casting Charlie (his own dog in real life) rather than using a dog from one of Hollywood’s animal exhibitors. I don’t want to spoil that scene but one of A Star Is Born’s most important scenes was with Charlie. That was so creative and I did not expect that. Anne Hathaway did not lie when she said this film is “so special” because it really is. It gives us audience a connection by catching us with its effective execution.  You won’t leave the theatre unaffected & uninspired. Congrats again, Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper.

SHALLOW

I watched it like two hours ago and i can say i've never seen someone acting more natural than Gaga. She was the highlight of the movie, in fact i probably would've find it boring without her. The scenes with only Bradley didn't do much for me tbh and the fact that a lot of scenes were kinda slow and then when Ally becomes famous we're only able to see some fast scenes about it kinda annoyed me. I cried during the finale tho and the movie overall was really good. I give it an 8.5 :vegas:
