GeeYewWhai 2,382
Don't get me wrong, she sounds amazing in Joanne and the ASIB Soundtrack, but I honestly think her voice is so much more dynamic in ARTPOP. The growls and screams in Swine to the tight higher register vocals in Venus and Do What U Want. I think she does a lot more with her voice in this album. She uses her head voice, distortion, lower register, belts, everything. Also technically speaking her range in ARTPOP is a lot wider than in her other albums. She hits a Bb2 in Dope which is the lowest note she's ever sung on a record and belted a F#5 in DWUW which is really impressive for a Mezzo Soprano like her self. Her head voice also reached Bb5 in Applause, giving her a 3 octave range. In the ASIB soundtrack the lowest note she hits is an Eb3 in ITA and her highest belted note an E5 in a lot of songs. She also reaches a F5 in head voice. Still impressive but her range is significantly smaller than in ARTPOP. However, I do agree that the tone and use of her voice has definitely improved in the albums following ARTPOP. But I think ARTPOP, despite it's reputation, is the album that truly highlights Gaga's voice. It is the GAGA VOICE, the uniqueness and power of it. Thoughts? ShockPop 7,747
Her voice on this album is perfect but alot of it is smoothed over in studio. No grit in her and since she dropped excessive voice edits, it's been all about that gravel.

Especially when she performed Venus and DWUW, you still heard the grit in her voice without the vocal enhancements Nothing Happened

Melodean 8,330
Just because she hit some low notes in ARTPOP why would that make it her best vocal album? She could of probably of done that on ASIB but she doesn't have to prove it https://open.spotify.com/track/7q1GGm2mBlC9hPWige0C6e?si=6b5319d0e3b44fa6
SHALLOW 16,443
True. Anyone who doesn’t see that it’s just cause they don’t want to see that. Her best album indeed. BTW is overrated. Drag me!
