In the UK, Halloween was in a knife fight with A Star Is Born last weekend, landing No. 2 behind the awards hopeful. This weekend, both took a backseat to Fox’s Bohemian Rhapsody. The Queen biopic rocked up a $12.2M opening on 1,250 screens in the home market. This followed last Tuesday’s mega-premiere at Wembley Stadium and is 127% above Star Is Born, 95% over The Greatest Showman and 46% ahead of La La Land.

so not #1 movie for this week

Predictable. I never thought almost a month after its release ASIB was going to win against Bohemian Rhapsody... not in the UK anyway.

Simon Falk's final predictions are out today for tomorrow's Top 10 in the US and he has "Shallow" in the Top 10 still :vegas:. It will only grow from here, as radio has been kicking in

Strong legs means quality: people go see it, people like it, people share opinions, more people go see it.

my best friend, who watched it the first time with me, went yesterday a second time because he wanted to show it to his boyfriend. And he's not even a Stan :firega:

After ARTPOP she stopped making music geared towards (pop) radio, so the success we're getting is great enough. It's also not over yet, I think it's just going to be a slow progression. Either way we're potentially getting another week in the top ten making this three weeks, and then we can hover in the top twenty, thirty for awhile. Nice peak, now it's about sticking around. It'll end up being a pretty decent chart run.
