hoeslay 4,173
Ok kind random but I saw ASIB again yesterday and realized in the film the production had these extra synth bells and electric guitar that aren't on the soundtrack version and I'm now kinda shook
Monster2015 1,117
The song is a major bop and the only one I’ve had on repeat

iizwhoiiz 113
I love all the pop songs. Being able to have the music for the character of Ally is a way to be experimental. I’ve always wanted to hear an urban/pop sound in Gaga’s music. The songs totally fit the music that’s popular right now. That’s what it’s about. If the GP heard songs that sounded dated or aged then the movie would be less relateable. It’s a great soundtrack, I’m just grateful to be able to listen to the tracks and enjoy them. Chromatic 12,177
I won't say it's “bad”. It's generic, yeah, but I think the problem, to me, at least, is that it doesn't do anything good for her voice. Her voice is too powerful for that kind of song. Didymus 34,379
Glad to see this. I've been really annoyed at the fans' dismissal of the pop songs, I ****ing love them and think they're better written and executed than most songs she's released on her last two albums Like, the movie was not about Ally being "wrong" when she chose the pop route. We never get that message. Ally writes her pop music herself, loves it, and that's that. Yes, she might not have dug into her soul for it, but you think Bradley did that for those rock/country/etc. songs? They're just as cliché and uncomplex as the pop tracks. Didymus 34,379
Just now, Lucas said: I won't say it's “bad”. I get that, but imo it's what sets her apart from her peers. That raspy rock voice is what elevates those songs for me and what no other pop singer rn could copy. I love it, I don't think it's a disturbing factor, it shows personality.
FentyGa 14,340
I don't think it was bad, though. It's a pop song. It's certainly not Gaga's worst
sipthistea 21,099
She's a professional troll. So I understand the reason why they did that song that way They won't admit it though. But Gaga already made it clear without saying it.
ShockPop 7,747
I mean.. PI wasn't written to flop but it still did. Intention and result are different.
AnglerfishbraBENUS 5,734
I'm interested in seeing how this song came about. Were they trying to create an infectious pop song? Did they go to Diane Warren specifically for a pop song or did she somehow wiggle her way in? Did they purposefully go out of their way to find an already written pop bop that could be deemed as bad? I need an entire documentary about the creation of this song and every other one.
