Guest Blue Madonna
https://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/him-too-twitter-navy-mom_us_5bbbf675e4b0876edaa10e9f Whoa Okay so in a move which I think is inspired by Brett Kavanaugh's election and Trump's subsequent comments, a mother has posted in a since-deleted tweet the following: Now #HimToo is trending on Twitter. This is of course attributed to both real tweets and those mocking it. While I see where it is coming from, I really don't think the #HimToo is necessary as it is obviously meant to directly contradict #MeToo. While #MeToo has done damage to some men, it has been overwhelmingly positive for all humankind and I think it is quite rude to try and belittle that with a few men's problems. Ugh this is bringing out my inner SJW What are y'alls thots?

LIKELADYAGAGA 4,080
As a straight male (you guys will gasp... I love Gaga because I can relate to her), I can say it is very scary to know that when I get into an elevator late at night with another woman I don’t know, she might be scared by my presence. That is the worst part of me. I’ve also had the fear that if I cross the wrong woman, she could accuse me wrongfully. It is scary. WITH THAT SAID, I wish from the bottom of my heart the me too movement only becomes stronger. I’m saying this because guys fear around the current social climate shouldn’t necessarily matter when it comes to women coming forward. I hate that people like this try to make women feel guilty for speaking their truth. Men will feel uncomfortable but that leads to growth and we must keep moving forward so that the next generation can live in a world where we will no longer need #MeToo. rumours 45,521
I have no issue with people sharing their stories with the #HimToo hashtag. However, if it turns into something resembling a light-hearted parody of #metoo solely for the purpose of promoting a political agenda, that's where I question the movement's intentions. You don't have to be scared unless you're going to rape or assault somebody, it's not that ambiguous. People aren't just going to police with false accusations all the time. This hardly ever happens. 9 minutes ago, Omar Vela said: false rape and harassment acussations are reaaaally common, you would be surprised See above. https://web.archive.org/web/20180101025446/https://icdv.idaho.gov/conference/handouts/False-Allegations.pdf 2-10% of allegations could be classified as false...and that doesn't include.... the vast majority of sexual assaults (2 out of 3) that aren't even reported at all. https://www.rainn.org/statistics/criminal-justice-system The conversation should be on survivors and how to help them. He's definitely not using that as an excuse for why he can't find a conservative girlfriend. This kitten over here (meow)
