Queen 99
I think she was referring to MTN. Why could she call BTW a dead horse when it was anything but? It hit number one, became one of her biggest selling singles, it wasn't really dragged. MTN fits the description more in that it flopped on the charts and she was made to continue it's promo unnecessarily even though it was clear it wasn't getting any higher on the charts. Plus it's a lot more personal to Gaga than BTW was, it was about her lifes/her struggles yet it performed badly. Commercial success =/= critical success. It was about BTW. The fact that she based a whole era around that song and it got stigmatized with Madonna comparisons is why she called it that. MTN was personal, but it wasn't centre of her career at all. X Dreams 94
Can people stop acting like know-it-alls here? I personally think it was MTN that she was talking about, but it could be BTW too. We all have our opinions and I feel as if the people that think it's BTW are being a little obnoxious.

Woolfsmck 2,763
Mentors taking advantage of me Do I sense her referring to Madonna? Good letter. I love u Gaga. I'm one of the sweet monsters. I read LAG into that... She was acting oddly around the media, and spent more n more time on her 'reality' project than with Gaga ... Plus the statements about her 'making' Gaga and that Madonna should be bitter. like a cat in a sil, I observe life, moving and still. imasugarush 0
massive struggles with body image wow.. I wasn't sure she still had trouble like that, and betrayed by friends.. I feel really bad for her, but I love her honesty... I hope htings are better for her now.

Yes, that is how I am thinking of it all too. Lauriann got real nasty all of a sudden and very public. Edited August 14, 2012 by KillerQueen
Woolfsmck 2,763
Don't we all envy her in some way or another? It's not a bad thing to envy someone, if I was jealous and didn't like her, then that would be a different story, but thanks for pointing that out to me like I didn't know I envied her. & to your second question.... because I am not OVER indulging in expensive things, throwing thousands of dollars in the air on a bag or a pair of heels, rather I am spending money on things I need like rent, insurance, gas, food, etc. But honestly, I do like to debate but I said my opinion about what she said, and that's that. If you don't agree with what I said I can argue my side but no more. My intentions are just to put my view out there, I don't need to change yours. We are all different but all the same because we love gaga. That is all! Greed: A selfish or excessive desire for more than is needed or deserved, especially of money, wealth, food, or other possessions. Your envious of her Greed????? Talent.???? Wealth....??? Popularity...??? If your envy drives you to be better than you are now, then sure, its a good thing. Envy often leads people down the wrong path however.... I try to 'admire; ... as opposed to ...... And I am responding to your statement, not being personal , (intentionally) ... Back to her extragavigance. Her economic condition makes material things seem small. So expensive handbags and shoes ect. really are small items for her... to us...they are out of reach... Edited August 14, 2012 by Woolfsmck like a cat in a sil, I observe life, moving and still. omglion 1
I think it would be MTN. For Gaga it was her emotional out-pouring. The video was iconic and deeply involved with her life story, the song's very radio friendly and Gaga internationally promoted the single and it didn't chart anywhere near where it should have. BTW was much more successful. I guess Gaga just feels she stuck her neck out for the single, revealing the struggles of her life in an art format and having her label obviously hinder any chance of single success. MTN was her favorite song, but she had stated before in interviews (I'm not gonna look for receipts ) that BTW would be/is her most important song of her career. It was obviously a success among her fans, but the mass public did not take to kindly to the song after the EY comparisons + the questioning of Gaga "taking advantage" of the gay community. etc etc. On another note. This is very reassuring to me and as it seems, to many of her fans who were concerned about her with upcoming ARTPOP. Now I can't wait for what's to come. I can't wait. :)
Vanilla 660
I think we'd all be upset if something we put months and months of energy into underperformed and then being betrayed by your mentor and your best friend. Yes, she knows that this stuff happens when you get famous, she did study fame guys, but it still hurts. That's why I feel sorry for her, and personally, I feel that's a pretty decent reason to feel sorry for her too. I won't die, but I can't live without you
Americano 31,061
Nobody made me. Nobody fukcing made me who I am today. And what is so funny is that everyone that was spitting in my face and treating me like dirt and making me feel so worthless.. The price that a woman pays for people destroying you over and over again… I’m a fukcin’ lion. I’m a lion, and I can’t be destroyed. The things that I have been through, the things I have seen, the people I have taken care of.. I would not take any of it back, because it’s made me the writer I am. But how dare anyone that treated you like dirt on the bottom of their shoe try to turn around and tell you that they made you? The minute you have a glimpse of sunlight on your lashes, they fukcin’ made you that mascara. Where was that?
