And I was wow. I was thinking it would be cool if they showed that but I have bad eyesight so I didn't see that xD
Katie14 4,828
I didn't cry at all during the movie but I came closest during the scene after the Grammy's when Jackson is being dragged into the shower by Ally's dad and Ally is hysterical and says to them "thats my job" and her dad is yelling at him saying "how could you do that to my daughter?!" I just felt so sorry for Ally and Jackson in that moment. He was at such a pathetic low point and I felt so bad that Ally married someone who is such a mess and she had to take care of him. gag 22,449
1000% backstage of the Grammys for me, when he was getting dragged offstage by Ally's dad and forced into that bathtub. It was so disorienting and so chaotic that it felt emotionally heightened. headspin, happiness, DE̤̣A̢̯͔̘T͏͙̗̟̫H̗̙͡ͅ
Miracle 14,068
Ally trying to hide the pee stain on Jackson's pants. The shower scene. Ally's dad showed true love for her friend The entirety of Shallow, including the run backstage. An emotional rush of adrenaline. Everything in between Jackson's suicide and Ally's final meltdown and conversation with Bobby. The scene of Gaga absorbed by red laying depressed at their house is particularly depressing. And everything about INLA.
JazzGa 14,620
Besides the ones already mentioned, when Gaga performed Shallow by herself for the 2nd time, especially juxtaposed with the building suspense with Jack preparing his final rituals, even tho I knew from reading the synopses of the other ASIBs that he was going to kill himself in the end, his suicide scene still really snuck up on me (The movie theatre had really fckin loud napkins and I felt like such a jerk as I mopped up my tears!!!) My old cat is a tough man, but i cant deny the way he bites my hand and he stabs me, he grabs me by my heart <
Siena 6,235
When Ally was performing Shallow by herself and she said " Ladies and Gentlemen my husband Jackson Maine" and there was a mic and everything for him and she really thought he was just going to come out and join her but instead it cuts to him hanging in the garage WITH THE DOG OUT FRONT. Ya I lost it and bawled the entire drive home
Guest
Well the final scene of course and then the scene when Jack told his brother he idolized him and NOT their dad,.
fuqdissht 56
Are you kidding guys how can you not mention the best scene of the movie which really made me weird facial expressions and cry like a fuqin baby when Jackson finally sobers up and confronts his brother and tells him the truth that he always looked up to him that’s why he wanted his voice I don’t know something about that scene felt the most authentic I’ve seen in years and it connected to my addiction really badly. FadMadonsterStan 578
Spoiler The dog and garage scene was too much, the theatre was so silent. I didn’t cry until later at night because I was in shock with the ending Don't go for second best, baby Put your love to the test

ModernEcstasy 8,998
Do we really see Jackson hanging in the window? I was so Focused on Charlie (The Dog) that I didn’t notice it!
Ashley 9,370
It was full of emotionally powerful scenes but one that hasn’t been mentioned is their fight in the bathtub. I thought her acting was so great there too. Bradley too of course but I was so impressed with Gaga.
Benji 20,113
Apart from the obvious ending scene(s), the grammy's and the following shower scene really hit home.

TeenIdle 126,436
#1 was when the flashback in INLA started The scene with Jackson hanging himself was brutal but the way he put his hat on the counter reminded me so much of Gaga during Million Reasons and that made it less sad for me 𝖓𝖊𝖜 𝖗𝖊𝖑𝖎𝖌𝖎𝖔𝖓
