Hey everyone! Haven't really posted on here in awhile cause I just haven't really had the time or need to make a topic, but I've been lurking the site almost daily so I know the tea. Anyways, I just got back from an early screening of A Star is Born that my school put on. I go to the University of New Hampshire and we have a movie theater here. The theater was literally packed. I got there about a half hour early just to make sure I got a seat (it was first come first serve) and there was already a line of about 100 people. Here's the receipts:

The movie was extremely ****ing good. I don't wanna give anything away obviously, but I genuinely thought that it was an incredible film with a great plot, direction, set design, etc etc. Props to Bradley for putting out such a solid directorial debut. Not many people can do that. Anyone talking **** about the "pacing" in the film is delusional and is probably a Madonna stan. There are no issues with pacing. But let's get to Gaga. SHE.WAS.PHENOMENAL. Her acting was on point, and she served LOOKS. And also BOPS. I was dead ass bopping my head throughout the whole film at every single song (even Bradley's, who also served bops on bops). Bradley and Gaga were literal gold together. Their chemistry was undeniable and made me get lost in the film so much that I forgot several times I was even watching Gaga. The movie serves doses of comedy, drama, music obviously, suspense, action, and idek it was just so good I'm rambling lol.

This movie can best be described as a bright red Lamborghini driving slowly on a deserted highway, slowly picking up speed and then gunning in at 200 MPH into a brick wall. It is truly a roller coaster of emotions.

This movie will do great at the box office. It has anything a moviegoer could want. It is definitely a love story but I saw it as more of an examination of two very different people and how their love for each other brought elements of each other to life that both never thought possible. As you watch Ally rise, you see Bradley fall and vice versa. It was a character study rooted in fame.

The music was sooooo amazing. My favorite song without a doubt was "Why Do You Do That". The chorus SLAPS and the bass is so loud the theater was shaking. The ballads are incredibly beautiful as well. My favorite ballad was probably "I'll Never Love Again" or "Always Remember us This Way". I was very emotional at the end when she sang INLA but I didn't cry because I'm a big boy and I took a boy with me so I didn't wanna seem like a mess. No shade but there's no way Beyoncé couldn't handle this role at ALL lmaooo. That's probably why she left the project.

I'm not even sure what else I need to say. If I think of anything else I'll add it. But bottom line is.... you  guys will all love this movie. There's a reason it has a 95% on Rotten Tomatoes. Its just a genuinely good film.

Do you mean "could've" instead of "couldn't"? Like there's no way she could have handled the role (as well as Gaga did)?

Excuse my grammar nitpicking but "no way Beyonce couldn't handle this role" makes it sound like she would have pulled it off if she decided to do it.
