With expensive drama schools being the norm, too many incredible actors are simply priced out of even getting their foot in the door, let alone landing rolls. I feel like he is slightly off with this regarding this adaptation, clearly they wanted a singer with a huge name to play Gaga's roll but still, he's got a point. i mean thats like every profession ever tho? university IS expensive esp in the US. i mean if i was able to afford acting school in america i would've gone. sure theres a class problem in the acting world (and a lot of other industries) but wtf does that have to do with ASIB? an actor wanted to direct a movie that happens to be a remake and cast a world famous singer (whos extremely talented and has worked incredibly hard btw). so normal folk are only supposed to be played by normal folk now?? and rich people played by rich people? this is like saying a gay guy can only play gay roles and a straight guy only straight roles, but worse. FfFfFfFF 55,892
He is always so pretentios. It's obvious from his reviews that he prefers male-sung rock music and its subgenres.
Notget 502
I mean, I dislike it too but, he's just one guy giving his opinion. Dunno why a lot of people look up to him for validation of music taste...

I did say he's off for bringing it up here, it's clear that this film demanded a big singer's name like Gaga's. And I'm not saying that at all There's a clear difference to someone being discriminated against versus being priced out of getting far enough along the road to even be discriminated against

gag 22,449
Never liked him. Even when he raved Million Reasons and BROCKHAMPTON. His fanbase is also the worst. headspin, happiness, DE̤̣A̢̯͔̘T͏͙̗̟̫H̗̙͡ͅ

calmar 22,064
As if giving a facetious "review" to Born This Way just to laughingly trash the whole thing wasn't the first clue... Also the weird thing about his wealth argument is that one of the characters starts wealthy (Bradley, already a star) and Gaga's character becomes wealthy as her career takes off. And would he criticize Lucille Ball's role as a street beggar in Stone Pillow? 俺の勝利は揺るぎない

matteonster 492
I simply feel like he hates her so there’s always going to be a reason why he’s not ok with Gaga’s cureent music, even if he likes the song / album itself. As a critic you should be objective at least a bit and that is why his opinion is not really relevant. “Don't you ever let a soul in the world tell you that you can't be exactly who you are.”
