She sings the whole first verse in falsetto, and she legitimately sounds like Whitney Houston on the second verse; it sounds like a true soundtrack power ballad anthem. Compared to ARUTW though I think it’s melody isn’t as big of an earworm; as in it’s beautiful in the moment but the chorus melody isn’t as strong as ARUTW in my opinion. I’m curious to hear what the extended version of INLA will sound like as just a solo Gaga track because I can see her vocally going OFF for a good minute or so at the end that might tip this over the edge. Either way, they are two of her best ballads EVER; the vocal acrobatics in both are unreal, especially for Gaga who is typically more restrained and selective about her vocal runs but as of late as really developed this part of her voice.
