"mixing" again. What is that mixing thing? Seriously you all pretend to know a thing about producing music, but in reality you don't. You're just not so fond of that song and that's it. Don't blame it on the mixing.

This. this. and this.

Everyone is allowed to express his thoughts, don't worry.

I think somehow it might have been done on intention, to sound more "live" and organic, but I don't know.

Benjamin Rice is also a producer, you don't know what you're talking about. Calling someone unprofessional is very rude and makes you come off ignorant.

My opinion is based on the final product more..  I'm here judging their work more than their career..  And being a producer is not small pony that anybody can ride it..  He's a vocal engineer for the god's sake... And please don't compare gaga with him .. Gaga have talent and Benjamin with his work prove that he is not talented as a producer

Why do you say that he is not a talented producer when your biggest complains are about the mixing (blaim the mixer) and the song structure (blaim the songwriters) and not about the instrumentation? :ohwell::ohwell:

The only part that bugs me is the last chorus. The vocals sound mixed well, and then after the oooooooooh part her vocals sound blown out and like you're listenting through some low end dollar tree headphones lol. I'm new to music engineering but I actually do produce and I just think it's too flat on the low end. It needs more warmth and maybe some light reverb.

I really think the vocals and the screams are like the only parts of the song that are live lol.  You can tell that the vocal was placed over a new track or at least fixed because in the leaked version from the movie screenings, she comes in late for the 'im off the deep end' and in this version she comes right on it

The structure is fine. Is good to do something different sometimes. Otherwise we would know that around 2'30" the bridge would start. The common pop structure is too predictable at the majority of times.

I'm not complaining about the fans in the background or the live version of the song..  I love the song but the mixing is horrible

What is horrible about the mixing? That’s what I don’t understand

Daredevil

you know that feeling when you go to the cinema and when you get home you just want to listen to the soundtrack of that movie? that’s the purpose of this album. one of the reasons why this movie is critically acclaimed is because everything is sung live.

i swear, y‘all want a live version, a studio version, another non-ASIB album and  visuals at the same time... :saladga:

At first I thought: Why? Why is it produced this way with the flaws and the audience behind?

But I get it, and the sense of the whole thing is the scene which is the first encounter on stage between the two main characters.

They still sound great. And I'd wish for a studio version of it.

I don't get those people talking about bad mixing, I think it's really good for the most part and really love the effects on Gaga's vocals, I just think there isn't enough space in the final chorus and the drums aren't strong enough but the rest sounds nice and spacious and crisp which I was really surprised at for live recording
