Not necessarily. We still have Lisa Murkowski (R-AL) and Susan Collins (R - ME) that could potentially vote no.

Chances of that are slim, but anything is possible. Flake has always voted with the R's, it was expected.

Look... He was always gonna pass, so I’m not surprised. Plus, I watched what went down yesterday, and there was nothing presented that was legitimate enough (in terms of corroboration) to change that. Also, having members awkwardly ask Kavanaugh about his high school yearbook was the cringiest thing I’ve seen since Republicans were asking Zuckerberg about Facebook.

I don’t like Kavanaugh, but he (like all other American citizens) are innocent till proven guilty. If Democrats are convinced that he is actually guilty, I hope they continue to push for an FBI Investigation even after he is confirmed. If these woman are legitimate in their accusations, it would be really disrespectful if the push for the accusers to be heard stopped after he’s confirmed. If the man is guilty, justice should be served.

So in a few years when the US Supreme Court attempts to make life more difficult for minorities... Which country will take me in? 😂

I'm with you and I'm one of those "nasty Democrat liberals". I'm willing for him to be confirmed, if the investigation continues. (And I REALLY don't agree with him on most views)  Yes, they dug up a rule to block Obama from naming someone progressive because they're petty, but it's not about that to me. I just don't want to see nothing done about the accusations. Prove him guilty with a true investigation or clear his name.

Knowing his intentions were he to be confirmed, why?

Also, Dr. Ford accused Kavanaugh before he had been named publically, and has record of having spoken about this to her therapist, friends, etc. for years. I think thats worth bringing up to the "innocent until proven guilty" crowd that still doesn't get the big picture on rape accusations :rip:

If nothing else, at least let that quiet the "she's a democratic pawn" crowd.

The vote hasn't really happened yet. They voted to move the committee vote to 1:30 in the afternoon. So the actual vote is about to happen now. But Jeff Flake announced his support for Kavanaugh so it's safe to say that he'll have enough votes (except he has a sudden change of heart).

It was supposed to end 15 minutes ago but there's still no result so something must be happening rn.

Edit: Flake actually just proposed to delay the Senate vote for another week so that the FBI can investigate.
