Soundtrack Live Recordings

How many songs on the soundtrack do you think will be recorded live? I'm sure because of the dialogue tracks, they included live songs to help with the cohesiveness of the album. Obviously not all of the songs were played fully so they'd have to at least provide the full studio version, right? Personally for the more personal ballads like "Is That Alright?", "I Don't Know What Love Is", and "I'll Never Love Again" I think should have studio recordings. Shallow works well live because it was important scene in the movie (just wished the vocals were filtered better ). I'm going to be a bit disappointed if a studio version of "Is That Alright?" from the trailers aren't included in the soundtrack because someone said it was performed live? I thought it wasn't performed and was included in the credits.

Don't ever trust trailers, especially nowadays. Remember Rogue One's trailer? Half the dialogue in the trailer ànd like four or five incredible looking shots weren't in the movie and were deliberately shot for the trailer alone, to the disappointment of most fans.

It's the same with the use of music in the ASIB trailers. Producers want that trailer to be the best it can be. Using a deliberately more powerful performance of only a short segment of a song is the best decision for them since the audience only gets those few seconds to be impressed.

I'd say: expect the whole soundtrack to be the vocal takes from the movie.
