Luv u Sum 2,415 Posted September 27, 2018 Share Posted September 27, 2018 Alright so I've seen a lot of confusion on why Shallow has the cheering and the awkward production/mixing/vocals This song is not meant to necessarily sound all that good. It was thrown together by Ally the night before and Jackson makes her sing it in front of thousands of people. It's weird that they are promoting this as a single tbh cuz it's just confusing people since not many people have had the chance to see the movie The vocals were all recorded live. However the crowd effects are all edited in there. When they were singing it was dead silent so they could get a clear recording so having the crowd in the soundtrack was a choice and it's not a "live album" they just want to give that illusion for the songs that fit. Also, not every song is going to have that. I'm not sure about Heal Me and WDYDT. But I highly doubt Music To My Eyes, I Dont Know What Love Is, Is That Alright, Hair Body Face, Before I Cry, and Look What I Found, will have any kind of sound effects in them because of how they are placed in the film. So dont be super disappointed about the soundtrack as a whole as if its gunna be a loud crowded mess of bad production cuz that's not the case. Maybe so, but the way it was given to us in the trailer was absolutely ****ing epic. This one carries the intimacy of the song and story of the film whereas the other you posted is just another performance of it. That’s the logic I think that’s there.
