I think the problem is that Warner is using the studio renditions for all the promo clips (Is That Alright, Shallow, Maybe Its Time, Black Eyes) and therefore we know just how ****ing epic they are, and they're literally going to waste for absolutely no good reason

I mean, of course, the studio one's going to sound better, but maybe it's just me, but I love the fact that they're releasing the live versions.

Is it a waste? Maybe. Maybe not. We don't know their full plan, however, I don't have an issue with it.

Ew, why cant they just release the damn studio versions? We already know Gaga is  singing live in the movie so I don’t see the reason to keep the whole album live. Im dissapointed but at least we are getting something.

I’m mad because this is just an unnecessary decision... We have live vocals in the movie and having studio vocals for comparison would be AMAZING. Such. A. Bad. Decision. First one for this era...

Also how can there be live versions when some song are performed in the movie for literally 10 seconds? And no it’s not fully recorded live.. it’s what scene requires.. Especially rehearsal scenes in the movie...

I think we all been knew that this campaign was going a little bit too well for a Lady Gaga related era :sharon:

Honestly they should just add the studio versions to the album as well.

Agree. I don't see why if there are studio versions we can't just have both? I'm not trying to sound greedy or negative, these decisions just seem very bizarre.

Exactly. If they don’t plan on releasing them, why use them at all?

Im so used to the studio version of Shallow from the trailer that I find the live version totally underwhelming.

I really don’t mind the vocals being live at all, I can’t really tell a quality between the live and studio that we’ve heard. It’s just the amount of crowd noises that they edit in really, there is a shallow without the crowd noises and I can’t really see why they would add it in, but maybe it’s just the vibe they want for the whole soundtrack

They did fully record the songs live. Why Did You Do That isn't going to be visibly performed entirely due to shortening and dialogue - however she still did perform and record/film the entire song. I was there for that one, so I'm sure that they did the same for other songs in the film too.

Leave it up to Little Monsters to be her biggest critics. She can’t release ANYTHING without you tearing it to shreds. You’ve all watched the multiple versions of clips and promos and created your own idea of what you wanted the song to be and it’s not that. So what.

I’m seeing the same backlash for I Want Your Love which is an incredible disco cover. Let’s stop reacting instantly, stop thinking about numbers and chart performance, and sit with the music as she intended us to. We should only be so lucky to have a queen so talented across multiple disciplines. Let’s enjoy the ride as she evolves as an artist.

It will only be the “treats” that have no crowd noise.  As I said in another thread they are not respecting the quality of these songs for years to come with this live mixed version.

Im sure the studio versions will leak in x years but it’s not the same as having it officially released for prosperity

Give us a break.. We are entitled to opinions just as you are. Now go bother someone else.
