Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper - "Shallow"

Mister Gaga

I like it, but i feel as if something was missing. Another verse, another chorus...it ends way too fast, right when the song finally explodes, it concludes. It's frustrating, because the potential is right there, it sounds anthemic, epic, very TEOG/You and I. Think what would happen if You and I ended right before the electric guitar solo, or TEOG before the sax solo..yeah, they'd be good, but something would be missing.

The same is happening with Shallow. Idk if it has to do with the mixing, or if we will get another version with the album...but it's a disappointment for me.

IT. IS. THE. SAME. VERSION. There is NOTHING different from the trailer version- accept the accoustics. They obviously removed the screaming crowd for the trailer. That’s. It.

No it's not. Listen to the way she sings "watch as I dive in" in trailer #1 versus the single version.

I'm not that bothered by it as I still like the song either way, but I did get used to the vocals in the trailer and now these seem a little weak in comparison.

My only comment with the song is that I wished they gae Bradley one chorus, you know to extend the song. But he probably cant sing that chorus in tune.

Another song damaged by Gaga's vocal obsession.

The potential was real but they chose to "raw" it up and now it just sounds mediocre at best. It is actually sounds like a bad 80's power pop-hair rock ballad.

The bridge is different. Clear your ears out.

Your hearing is damaged.

Sugar, spice, and everything nice.

Is that alright? Is alot more powerful than this. I think everyone already knows she can sing and she needs to get over the "raw" vocal obsession.

“Is that alright”is not as raw sounding. Her polished vocals are a lot better than her raw vocals, and a lot of people feel that way. I feel like you guys were expecting dream girls, or the sound of music style vocals on Shallow.  It’s literally her getting up the nerve and singing live on stage for the first time. It’s raw. It’s live, with a band.  It’s supposed to be raw. There are so many other songs on the soundtrack. Remember- it’s acting, not an actual album of hers.

I like this version.  If I have seen the film,  I can just watch the YouTube video,  close my eyes and relive that magical moment again.

I believe that from the way they included voice clips in the soundtrack,  they want you to relive the movie.  It's a soundtrack that is meant to tell a story with it.

This is brilliant because people just don't buy soundtracks anymore.  They nitpick.  This soundtrack will tell a story and I'm excited for it!

just to let you know guys, i think im the only real little monster among my friends and i always tell them about lady gaga and a star is born. but i always expect that they don't always have to get excited with any gaga projects. this morning, i shared the spotify of Shallow... and behold, my roommate can't get over it. she's been playing it endlessly and almost memorized the song by now. take note she's sometimes not really interested to anything that's happening with lady gaga.

im just.. happy!

at first, i was iffy when they put audience reaction. but now that you've reminded me that they included the dialogue part.. it seems fitting for these songs to be live and with audience.. the whole soundtrack is an experience. I LIKE THE VISION

TRUST GAGA
