Shame as I was only expecting crowd noise to be in IWNLA (film version).

At least we have an excuse if radio doesn’t play Shallow on rotation, radio listeners are not going to go for a “live” song on the radio

Prince's Purple Rain (along with the rest of the OST Album) was a Live recording, and it has been one of the biggest hits of the 80s (along with the eponymous movie).

I think GP don't care about this, and radio either... If the track works, it works and that's it.

Let's wait and see.

City of Stars had that ANNOYING, cringey Emma Stone laugh, like, at the middle of it.

When I watched the movie I enjoyed it. And had no issue with her fake, stupid, annoying, short laugh. Then I hit the soundtrack and the laugh is still theree?!?

Guess what happened with that song? It won an Oscar for Best Original Song.

Little Managers/Producers/Songwriters/Screenwriters/Directors/Actors/SoundMixers and whatever else. should really pursue the thing that gets their attention so much, so we can judge their work and quit b*tching about whatever. SMH

i might actually follow some of the other users and not log in here until after the movie's hype has died down...

If you have not seen the movie, stop complaining! The movie does this song so much justice, it’s one of my favorites! I KID YOU NOT!

Once you’ve seen the movie, you’re going to be addicted to this song even more! For now, ENJOY this soundtrack version! It’s so good!

PS, the song was recorded live. Hence the audience noise. So, make sure you watch it at a Dolby powered theatre!

I have seen the movie and I am utterly disappointed. The song as performed in the movie does not work as an audio. It's like releasing a demo.

And there is a studio version and there is the same version we got without audience noises in teasers. The audience wasnt allowed to make any noise.

Sometimes it feels like I've got a war in my mind, I wanna get off but I keep riding the ride

yes, and for Shallow they clearly wanted it to sound a Live recording because they want to mark the difference between ASIB and other movies, in which songs are pre-recorded. (the pointed it out A LOT in interviews during the filming)

That is a great achievement in sound editing (possible Oscar here it comes), let alone the fact that the difference between a Gaga's studio and live recording is barely audible, and that's exactly the point. (crowd noise or not)

I think that before expressing an opinion we all should open our minds, and let "New Things" to grow on us a little bit.

I went into this expecting the worse from all the comments, omg yall do way too much. It was amazing! The bridge needed to be slightly longer tho cuz it eases into the "ahhhhhh" part too fast

Is this a live version or a studio version? Because it has audience noise in it but at the same time their vocals sounds like a studio one and different from the teaser they released?

Studio version with live background sounds.

Spotify version is more 'clear' than the Youtube one.

I WILL SCREAM if we get a shitty live version of Is That Alright

There isn't a live version of ITA because it's the song played during the credits only.

they are the same vocals. it was recorded live on the set. what do you guys not get about that.

and as for the radio not being able to stand live recordings or whatever... tell that to radio hits like Bennie and the Jets and Goodnight Saigon

Why is this fanbase so negative? I think they wanted to go with the live vocals to make it more authentic . . . it's stunningly beautiful! Just be happy for once. Everytime she does anything you guys complain.

I will say as stated above I don't particularly care for the structure of the song. I feel like it just flows a little weird.  But god I love Gagas vocals. I only feel SLIGHTLY underwhelmed toward the end cause I was expecting a bigger finish but hey, it's still amazing.
