I am listening to the song on my computer now and I'm hearing the crows noises.

They aren't really distracting tho, I just hope that won't stop radio from playing the song.

The song is AMAZING. :messga: The vocals are spectacular, nothing to say. Obviously i don't like the fact that the studio version is actually the live version. :triggered: This song isn't as epic and powerful as it could really be. And also it feels short, incomplete... it's a pity just cause it's already an awesome song, it could have become THE song, a timeless classic. Btw these are just subtleties, i love it so much i still got chills.

so sad. what where they thinking. so right that it could've been THE song

OMG how deceiving!!! Just listened again and they made a whole new instrumental for the trailer! It has piano chords, not guitar! :udidnt:

This song is forever tied to the movie, particularly that *one* scene. The crowd noises are in there for that reason. It’s not just to make it “feel” live. People will listen to this in the context of watching them sing together for the first time and the sparks that fly. For once y’all should relax and trust the makers on this one.

Bloody hooker

At this point I can tell the difference between the complainers and the complainsters about the complainers.

The people who are complaining about the complainers are more into the rock genre. The complainers are into the more pop and chill genres, and expect studio quality without any unnecessary elements that can come off as annoying.

The people complaining about the complainers need to understand that some of us were not expecting a live album. Some of us believed that we were getting studio quality.

I am going to admit that I was expecting studio quality, not a live album. The cheering is at a minimum, and I’m fine with that.

This mutual gaze was a “longing to touch” or a "pre-coitus" stare.

for those who are worried that Shallow can be ignored by the Academy for not being a Studio Recording: if I remember well La La Land "City of Stars" is included in the Soundtrack exactly as it is in the movie (which is recorded on set, while the other song are recorded in studio and performed in playback in the movie), and it won the Oscar.

Besides, I don't think this is the led single of the album (if there will be one): the beginning of the track is rough, it is not a Radio Version... I think the main track for the album is the only one that have a different version (The Extended) from the movie one, I'll Never Love Again.

I'm a real Fire CRRRACKERRR

Harris Walz 2024

What an amazing song and moment. I don't care if it sells 5 units, or if it has applause or not, I mean, enjoy the song, the moment. If the era ended right now, I would consider it a success and that's all i have to say.

I really like it, especially the part nearing the end when she goes all “HAAAAAAAA AAAAAHHH”, it gives me chills

I prefer the trailer version to this and I don’t really understand why they’d release this instead of a studio version  It’d have more bang and boom without the background noises in my opinion

Shame as I was only expecting crowd noise to be in IWNLA (film version).

At least we have an excuse if radio doesn’t play Shallow on rotation, radio listeners are not going to go for a “live” song on the radio

The only thing I don't particularly enjoy is the song structure... The rest is great IMO.

Pink flamingos always fascinated me.
