Is the studio version going to sound different? The quality sounds a little odd. A great song nevertheless.

Sis this is it. This is the "studio version"

I think the choice of "Shallow" as lead single is a good and necessary, even if a little disappointing from a certain perspective, sacrifice for the promotion of the film.

Could a different song have maybe been a bigger radio contender, given what we've heard or know about the other tracks? Yes.

But "Shallow" builds on the AHHhhAHHaahhAHH and trailer hype, and the video does a really good job of selling the movie. The visuals introduce us to the couple in new ways, and I finish watching it more excited to see the film than I knew I could be.

It may not do great on the radio, I really don't know at this point (radio is weird!), but I think this is a smart promotional choice.

This era is ultimately about the success of the movie. If it ends up producing a radio smash, great -- but it's more important for Gaga in the long run to hype the GP into going to the theater and seeing the film.

Keep on playing that long game, Gaga.

Wait, the studio version has audience's cheering over it? What's the live version going to sound like? :air:

Guys, the crowd noises on Spotify are more "gentle" than the noises on the MV... They sound Just like samples to me.

I don’t think there’s two versions. People are confusing an altered trailer edit as if it’s a completely separate track.

I think this proves IWNLA will be the song put forward for Oscar nomination as I’m sure crowd noise will be minimal in that.  The academy won’t be interested in a track full of crowd noise when the category is “best original song” not “best live song” lol

The film will get a tonne of criticism from monsters too knowing that it’s filmed in a more art-house style. Ugh :saladga:

That has absolutely nothing to do with the Oscars and how they award songs.
