it's always been, but that is because she does a LOT of interviews. Like : it's normal for a postar nowadays, but it has always been/seemed so f$cked up for  a human being to do interviews. Some of them are really more revealing, sometimes not. I think that is were you see she's a human. facets.

hello hello baby.

I can feel the vibe too. Maybe she suddenly became awkward or something. She does said she developed anxiety, doesn't she?

I think it all depends on "which persona" she is at the moment, and I don't mean it in a negative way and I don't think she is totally aware of it. With every album or every project in general, Gaga showcases a different personality or rather "vibe". When she promoted her first 3 albums she came off as very confident, funny and over the top, when she promoted ARTPOP she was obviously sad and heartbroken so she was a bit more "aggressive" or just tired I guess... when she promoted FAME she was over it so she acted like a bitch on purpose and when she promoted C2C with Tony she seemed very poised and elegant as if she suddenly aged 30 years. Joanne was probably the album cycle in which she felt happier and more "authentic" (even if she obviously had some answers ready for every interview - e.g. father's daughter, sister's sister ecc..)

with ASIB I believe she wants people to keep seeing her as poised and elegant like for the C2C Era and in my opinion, she wants to be seen as very professional, that's why she might feel robotic in interviews and stuff...

Tbh I think it's pretty normal for actors and singers to have all the same answers for all the interviews, especially if they are promoting something, and it's definitely because they are being asked the same questions over and over and they can't really come up with something different each time

She has always been awkward. Maybe some people have just forgotten how awkward she is in interviews because its been such a long time since we've seen her do TV like this. She loosens up when she's a bit more comfortable or talking with someone she trusts.

Her most genuine interviews are her interviews during the ARTPOP era. During C2C and after, almost all answers are rehearsed. You can never quote two interviews with the same content pre-AP (except the I'm Italian thing :derpga:). During C2C, the headpalm was always present. During Joanne, the speech about the woman with the glass on one hand and a baby in the other is the staple. Now we have the same answers during ASIB.

I think this is so that the same message won't be missed by the casual viewer no matter what medium they viewed. It kinda sucks for us who watch all interviews, though. It's not as exciting and authentic.

Inside, we are really made the same. 🕊

I'm going to reply based on the title, without reading the thread:

This is a new territory for her. Remember that after all she's still being interviewed as Lady Gaga not Stefani Germanotta and L. Gaga is channeling her best old Hollywood movie star. Let the girl have her moment.

Pink flamingos always fascinated me.

Tbh i noticed that too. And i was like Gaga whyy??

But now i understand. Because look , imagine getting oscar buzz...

You have to be really careful what you are talking about so im sure its because of this.

I would be like this too if i was getting oscar buzz , you just cant talk like with your fans to the others

she is in really different position in her career now and about to re peak so of course everything have to be staged.

HEARTSTOP

I feel like she is very nervous for the outcome of this movie, it could make her or break her in the Hollywood scene as a respected actress.

She is playing it safe in interviews so the audience doesn't go into the movie with a pre-conceived idea of hers and call her pretentious like they did with ARTPOP.

It was kinda awkward when they played that BTW era clip on Ellen and you see how much more relaxed and “herself” she sounded. But then again that was more than 6 years ago.

REALITY

I've always found this with Gaga. Sometimes she can feel very rehearsed and just very stagnant when it comes to the answers that she gives and the way she presents herself. That isn't necessarily a bad thing, it's just a part of her personality.

I believe that she's much more comfortable in the studio or in a small, intimate setting, but that's just me.

However, for the ASIB era in particular, I think a lot of it comes from the fact that she's new to this acting world too. I feel like the acting world is full of a lot of pretentious and high-end people (not to say that all of them are, it's just my perception), and maybe she doesn't feel like she necessarily fits in yet.
