Btw why are the clips only like 3-4 minutes? Is she really there for 10 minutes total? What does the Ellen consist of? I dont get it.

I don't know what exactly makes this interview so different from previous ones for people. I feel like Gaga has always been an awkward person during interviews, kinda stiff and not knowing what to say. The only one where I thought she was more relaxed was her Howard Stern interview during BTW but there was a totally different atmosphere than on Ellen, obviously. So I'm not really surprised.

I don't know if this is the reason, but since AHS Hotel, she became so stiff, distinguished and even her voice sounds like The Countess's. I don't like that ybh. When Ellen showed the clip from late 2011 it was hard not to compare these Gagas. And it felt a bit sad, since back then she had amazing sense of humor, more pleasant speaking voice (imo) and much better energy. I'm not sure is she absorbet The Countess's characteristics or there's other reason but I miss the young soul of the old Gaga

my theory for this is that she's really conscious about her physical state. i'm not sure but it feels like in moments like this, maybe her body is a bit painful with her fybromyalgia being felt a little bit. i dunno..

Is it me or does she always become repetitive when promoting something. It's like she writes down and practices what she wants to say and ends up repeating the same story in every interview. Especially during the Joanne era.

That's every press junket for every press run for every movie star (in particular) though. There's only so many anecdotes you can talk about when you're being asked the same question again and again. She has to get the same core message out every time since the public, the target for these press interviews, will likely only see one or two. We're only noticing it for her because we're keeping up with every single interview she does.

I think you’re right. When Gags does tv interviews with a live audience, she tends to address them quite a bit. In these, she is only looking at Ellen 99% of the time.

For reference with an audience:

she is so beautiful here

I enjoyed this interview, idk why people looks so deep into it or Gaga being in a certain way. I'm not expecting Gaga to be the same in every interview or how she was 6-7 years ago, it depends on her mood, she's more mature now which is normal and ok

I'm very disappointed, it was a very awkward interview :noparty:

If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating.

Also, aren't Gaga and Ellen friends? Why did they begin the interview like they actually haven't seen each other for 5 years and know nothing about each other?

They look adorable, but I felt like Ellen was feeling awkward at moments :cryga:

Will there be more considering she's the solo guest?

I'm pretty sure this was recorded when ASIB was shown on the Warner Bros. lot over the weekend with the Q&A.  It was probably done before or after.  Based on the hairstyle I think it must have been done that day.  I believe the audience that was at the Ellen taping got to see the movie for free on Monday and I bet they will also get the CD mailed to them if they don't have it.   I saw several IG posts on Monday of people seeing the movie on the lot.  I work on the lot but I was over at the premiere (through the monster code) so I couldn't go and confirm.

This is why Gaga kept referencing the audience about moments in the film. That had just seen the screening and then filmed Ellen. Also why Gagas hair and possibly outfit matches from the Q and A at screening.

Yall are a mess. "Boring" and "stiff" lmaoooo

Gaga seemed fine. Super chill and easygoing. Maybe kinda serious, but mature is really more accurate.

I enjoyed the interview. Didn't find it all that awkward at all. Gaga is soo easy to converse with I love it.

I agree with the no audience theory haha. I feel like we would of heard something about the filming or there would be audience shots.

Did yall even watch the same interview as me?

She literally addressed the audience multiple times and looked at them asking how they felt about things  :huntyga:

I knew Ellen's sense of humor wouldn't click well with the whole 'im so grateful and humbled by *fill in the blank* actress thing she has going since promoting ASIB.

she knows how to sell her projects :vegas: the only ones noticing that are fans because we watch all her interviews, but the soccer moms at homes watching Ellen don't know her stories. A lot of artists do that
