They earn more in one Gaga concert than in one week of album launch. Even if they don't make money by getting streams on Spotify, in the long run they do ⇒ getting Gaga exposure on Spotify will increase her popularity → this will boost attendance at her tours → she'll make much more money than she would have ever made on iTunes and/or Spotify Anyway iTunes is dying, Gaga is getting an unexpected re-peak in her career, AND THEY SHOULD TAKE ADVANTAGE OF IT + I think that investing in a song anyway always helps in the end = climb the streaming charts → climb on radio → climb on streaming charts → climb on radio → all of this while climbing in sales and tickets tour The kii is that unknowns can get pretty high on TTH so I really don't think it's that difficult for Interscope to afford it (while they've been trying to help Selena and Maroon5 like crazy when they're waisting their diamond star aka Gaga ... ) Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Here's the digital sales: Shallow - 85k ITA - 35k INLA - 35k ARUTW - 30k Maybe It's Time - 20k Before I Cry - 5k Music to My Eyes - 5k Black Eyes - 5k Look What I Found - 5k Others - 30k (3k average) That gives us 255k which is 25.5k TEA units. The album got 6,814,662 Spotify streams first day. Since we don't have any other data, I used Shallow's ratio from it's WW streams to the album's and converted it to US streams (using it's 544k figure). I got 2,488,771 US streams first day. For the whole week I multiplied this by 6 assuming the numbers would stay stable but I left a bit of room for declining. Then I multiplied that by 1.5 to get the combined Apple Music & Spotify value which gives us 22,398,943 US on-demand streams first week. This translates to roughly 15k SEA units. So now we have a total of 40.5k TEA/SEA units plus pure sales which I believe will go up from 125k (today's estimate) to 145k. A 20k difference, not too shabby. The three girls that went with me all nearly sobbed when Gaga sang INLA and my straight friend was in disbelief (I’m straight too, just clarifying he’s straight for you thirsty ) Also another friend texted me after the movie at a different showing and said she and her mom left the room in tears When we walked out the three girls had to fix their makeup and their eyes were red and my other friend said “wow.
