They should add Shallow to this is lady gaga playlist. But maybe gaga don't want that because it's Ally singing and not gaga :poot:

Just heard it for the first time after reading all the meltdowns yesterday. It really wasn't as bad as I was expecting but I do agree that it's very lacklustre after the teasing we got. I think the problem is with Gaga's voice and how it sounds.

Gaga's voice sounds like she's crying and it's worse than Dope to me and Dope is completely unlistenable because I can't stand her voice in it. Does she cry in this part of the movie? I understand it's an emotional song but you can convey emotion without having to be whiny and dreary.

I understand it's a live album. But we know her voice is so much better. Why hasn't she delivered the best vocals? If this is the same woman who gave us the sound of music tribute, Stevie wonder and Superbowl national anthem, why does it sound like she's very poor at performing live? Sorry for being harsh here but this is something I've been thinking about.

To clarify, I absolutely love it when Gaga is natural just rocking out. One of the reasons I fell in love with her as an artist was because of who she was before she was Gaga when she was just Stefani performing in dive bars.

But her voice in this song isn't on the same level as previous performances. You'd think she'd give the performance of her life here. She's even sung PI better than this and we all know it's a difficult song for her to sing.

I just don't understand the thought processes of her team with this one. You can all come for me with your pitchforks but I just don't understand why if someone is capable of delivering 10/10 performance they only give a 9.  I know it's harsh but Bradley Cooper was the one who blew me away and it shouldn't be that way.

Has she deliberately made Ally's voice not as good as her own to make it more believable?

My same sentiments and ATRL Liddos attacked me and some others for voicing out that there's something wrong with her vocals.. but someone pointed out it's actually the mixing/editing.. the instruments in the end is drowning her vocals.. it sounds like she's crying, nasally, mumbling and almost not undrstandable words just vague background singing behind the instruments.. also her vocals is not as strong (a lil awkward on purpose) cause it's the live vocals..

I still love the song, cause that sha ha sha ha llow part is so catchy and of course the ahha ha ha ha part (even tho weaker ahahahahha from the trailer).. acceptance (that what we're getting are live versions serving raw/live/unedited vocals on purpose) is the key and y'all find yourself enjoying the track.. like i've played it for maybe more than 60 times already.

Also the fact that the end-product could've been polished and better is so PAINFUL.. and that Bradley's vocals outqualitied Gaga's in this record is so ANNOYING..

Still, to us liddos who ain't just swallowing what was SERVED.. Move On and Enjoy

Wig, biggest station in my city played shallow and talking a bit about a star is born before playing...

I guess it's kinda for promoting the movie for sure. If Radios get talking about ASIB, that's the point +. It's kinda like playing trailer but in radio to get people hyped up for the movie

Although I bet some songs are stronger presence. When the movie come out perhaps people with find themselves which strike them the most and then start to promote it (I put a bet on Is That Alright? But hey I haven't watch the movie)

I mean chill...

It's the fact.. Bradley's vocals is more polished and clean.. Gaga's was raw and whiney.. her vocals in the trailer, there it's polished and bright
