The Joanne Era was definitely a subtle trailblazer for the stripped down trend we saw last year 

But Britney did stripped down era long before anyone talking about “Britney Jean” as her coming back to her roots.. Also she did Vegas when it was considered tragic and made it cool.. So it’s easy to say Gaga stole her ideas.. But she didn’t and no one stole anything from anyone.. 

EDIT: Also Katy had blue/green hair long before Prism world tour when Gaga called her out..

 

I’d say Gaga was inspired by those artists just like others are inspired by her..

A talentless hack doesn't become the biggest selling female artist of all time with a colorful and artistic discography and a music legend/pop icon goddess status. No she doesn't have the raw musical talent Gaga has, but she is far from talentless.
