dynamite 50,362
I think Anastacia's self-titled 2004 album paved the way for the likes of Kelly Clarkson and P!nk's pop-rock changeĀ in music. If you haven't heard it, listen to it from start to finish, it's amazing.

kvnrp 48,353
Confessions, paved the way for Gaga and Just Dance imo. Basically every Daft Punk album Get Lucky was so massive in 2013, but it wasn't until 2015/2016 that other artists put a lot more disco/funk elements in their songs. Too bad the whole industry didn't shift into disco
Mulholland 1,052
^ First one that spring to mind. Set the template for hardcore rap / pop crossover albums. It was not embraced by a lot of hip hop people at the time (they thought it was too polished and pop), but cut to now and you see its DNA all over everything. Nicki swagger jacked so much from Kim's first two eras, but I think *especially* the Notorious K.I.M. era. *Belatedly realizing this is in Gaga Thoughts, so you probably meant Gaga albums... In that case, I am gonna go with Born This Way. Set the template for the modern pop album with overt socio-political themes. Will be remembered as being even bigger than it was. I also think Joanne will be remembered more fondly in the future than it was upon its release.
