"And yes, this is how the celebration of my 9 million followers 😡 has just been damaged. This is a mockery of hunger in my country. How much our beloved Nicolas gives us, Nicolas, right? How sad what my dear Venezuela has to endure 😔. So how many more join in legitimizing this by defending their own interests? 🙄 Comment responsibly."

On the way back from China after signing agreements to get more loans, Nicolås Maduro visited Turkey and went to dinner at the restaurant of the famous chef Nusret Gökçe, known as "Salt Bae", where a plate can cost US $ 275.

The chef posted videos and stories with the Venezuelan leader on his social networks on Monday, watching himself eating meat and smoking cigars, inside his restaurant in Istanbul, part of a chain of restaurants in six cities around the world, criticized for the high prices and the low quality, because an account can come out in more than 1400 dollars.

The publication on Instagram, made at 4:52 p.m. was erased an hour later after receiving 23 thousand comments, many of those negatives, including one by the artist J Balvin, in which they point out the crisis that crosses the country of Maduro, whose figures of malnutrition and scarcity have made flee more than two millions of Venezuelans.

The videos show a smiling Maduro with his wife Cilia Flores eating cuts of meat served by the same "Salt Bae", and Maduro posing with a shirt with the image of the chef and a cigar in the lips, product of a humificadora with the name of the president on the cover.

In addition, in the videos of the chef there are corridors and entrances guarded by men with a red badge on the shirt that reads "koruma baskanligi", which in Spanish means "presidency", and one of them with bulletproof vest and a weapon .

That chef will fear for his life as he will get killed then as well by someone with maduro. BUT STILL VERY WORTH IT.

Salt Bae can still be a bae, right?  Though he seems out of touch with whom he was serving.

I'm sorry for being an ignorant American regarding the political context of the post if I'm not correctly interpreting the situation.   Maduro is a dictator and Salt Bae thanked him for dining with him?  Fingers crossed the chef didn't know?  How clueless could he have really been given his viral fame and the reputation of Maduro...:saladga:

Sorry, had wine and my thirsty (yet vegetarian) self couldn't get his videos out of my head :icega:

I mean a think Salt Bae did good by posting those videos, he basically exposed Maduro to the world. What I'm conflicted about is if he made it thinking about that even tho that could hurt her status as a personality or if he was actually happy about having a modern dictator in his fancy restaurant:toofunny:

Ugh do you all have any idea of how many people are starving here in Venezuela? There are people who eat garbage and I've seen them fight for it too. I'm glad he was exposed so people see what truly is behind all of his tripts to China and other countries. Who pays for all of that in such a bad economy like ours? Venezuela is rich, I mean we have gold, oil and many natural resources but they stole all the money that came into our country when the oil crude price was over 100$. Ugh I hope I live long to see them in prison.
