Julie Andrews won the oscar for Best Actress in the same role, so a nomination for Blunt is possible if Disney play their cards right. Blunt is no Julie Andrews tho. Perhaps? but that's not the point - if she does justice in the role then I don't see why she wouldn't be considered a contender? yes it's rare these days for a disney film to get nominated in the main categories but this awards season is shaping up to be quite a year for strong female performances so I wouldn't rule anything out just yet. Andy McQueen 4,484
Blunt is awesome and you will all have to deal with her talent. The trailer makes me cry, I love the Disney movie as well as the original books and the stage adaptation just so much, I think it will be a very unique film. RudraCNG 15,079
Idk, I barely feel it's something Mary Poppins-related, and no, a couple of cheap tricks like the mirror or the kite won't make me feel it. Well, I love the original one so I'll go to see it (plus, **** Van Dyke will make an appearance).
RickMonster98 7,462
This looks good, I honestly can't wait to watch it I wouldn't worry about Emily Blunt, I really love her as an actress but I don't think she'll get a nom for this movie (i hope tho she deserves it)
AJK273 2,700
Wow legit in tears right now this seems so nostalgic but with a good story and cast to back it up. The 2D animation made me cry and seeing **** Van Dyke still going and being his glorious self made me literally break down. River 117,091
It's just me or suddenly I really see Hayley Atwell more fitting to the part of Mary Poppins? I watched the trailer once again and couldn't see Hayley's face and accent in it.. So sploosh your juice all over me you Riverboy
