The creator of Polo also tells Pauley, "You don't have to wear a label to be important."

In fact, he doesn't feel the need to wear his own label either, even for a television interview. "This shirt, I bought at Kmart," Lauren said. "This is living proof of what I believe in – I love the aging of it. I love the rips. I love it all. And I like the way I look in it."

So, Pauley asks, why did he chose to wear it?

"I wanted to look great," Lauren replied.

It depends on the person too.  Someone with class and elegance and kindness can wear a trash bag and people call it art and a statement.

Some people no matter how pretty you dress them up or how pretty they look,  their bad attitude and smell of trash cannot be covered. :stalkga: (you know who)

I'm not sure.  I remember this look and people were saying it's a trashbag. :ladyhaha:

We need an expert here for fashion credits.

Designer clothes are such a waste of money anyway. I mean, if that's your thing and you have the money for it, then fine, you do you boo boo, but like... It's fabric, ffs. You pay extra money for a damn brand. You can get really nice clothes at the Salvation Army or the thrift store for a fraction of the price.

I rarely buy clothes :huntyga: I’d rather use my old shirts than waste money when I can use it for more important things

Absolutely.

While I will always have an adoration and respect for couture, the biggest lesson I learned regarding outfits its:

fashion is not just what you wear, or who you wear, but how you wear

Okay I agree to an extent. I still believe in having a few QUALITY pieces instead of continuously buying cheap things. I have Club Monaco hoodies and sweaters that have lasted me 4-5 yrs (and still going very strong, no fading, shrinking, rips, pilling) but most of my Zara clothing has had to be thrown out in 1-2 yrs (especially the shoes!)...

Yes :emma: the Nicopanda shirt, which was converted into a strapless dress for her, is actually made of sturdy trash bag material.

GAGA LOOKS FENOMENAL HERE, what photoshoot was this or where was this? She looks so fresh young and a literal Pop start who's ruling them all.

Pacify Him

The more expensive a piece of clothing is, or fashion accessory like bags, the more quality its materials are. They’re made to last

I’m getting on your nerves
