But there's evidence she had greek blood in her veins and certainly wasn't african black. A white Cleopatra would be way more accurate than a black Cleopatra in terms and it would not be, by any means, whitewashing. Anyways, she probably expressed her interest in that role due to her idolization of Elizabeth Taylor, moreso than any connection w/ Cleopatra’s story. In the same way that her love for Judy Garland probably influenced her decision to accept ASIB.
