I think you guys are analysing this too close. It will not be as explicit an attack on her and her past as it will the movie. The other studios are trying to discredit the movie and the process of how it’s been made, be that with planted press pieces or whatever. They’re not looking to go into her past since it’s moot and won’t change her performance or the reviews for the movie today and right now.

She’s just a piece of the puzzle they’re trying to break up. This happens every year - it’s just studio politics. It’s really not some big campaign to “take Lady Gaga out1!!1”. She has a huge movie studio behind her who face this every year with their movies and know exactly what to do. She’ll be fine.

This is an overly simplistic way to think about it IMO. Like I said, from what we know, there isn't anything glaringly problematic, but that doesn't mean something won't get brought up and spun out of control. 

The film doesn't even need to have anything wrong for it for people to tear into it tbh. There *will* be a backlash. Then there will be a backlash to the backlash. It is the way this goes every year. WB knows something will come, and they probably have strategies in place as they move forward, and hopefully that brings the same end result (a successful Oscars campaign). Pretending like the backlash and nastiness won't happen is just naive tho. Just take those kinds of agenda-driven criticisms with a grain of salt.

If Gaga surprises us on Oct 21st for the 5 year anniversary of DWUW and says I'm going to release the Do What U Want video just in time for the anniversary.

Be confident sis. The only thing I know about this fan base is we never lack of the power of backlash other when ppl who go against our mama and if this MACHINE really start targeting ASIB, emmm, it hard to say who is gonna catch the fire eventually.
