REALITY 78,354 Posted September 9, 2018 Share Posted September 9, 2018 So I don't know if this is just me, or my perception of what/who movie stars are, or even my overall (relatively) recent fascination with movies and the movie industry, but does anyone else see Gaga in a different light? Let me explain... First of all, I'm so damn proud of Gaga and what she's been able to accomplish with ASIB. Obviously, the movie isn't out yet, so many of us haven't seen it, but from all of these rave reviews and the amazing clips we get from the movie, I can already tell that this is going to be open a whole slew of doors for Gaga. And not only for the movie industry, but for her career longevity as well. Ever since all of these reviews and all the critical acclaim she's gotten, I (believe it or not) often forget she does music. It's like this whole time she's been a well-known and well-respected actress. Does anyone get what I'm saying? Like, the way she talks about doing the movie in interviews, the "classic Hollywood" look that she's been pulling off, and just her overall persona and presence, to me, is very much that of a movie star. I mean, maybe I should say that I shouldn't be surprised, but I kind of am. Regardless, I'm just so proud of her, and I really, really hope that she continues to do more movies in the future. In most cases, a celeb would crossover but with Gaga she has a perfect balance in doing both. I want to continue being a success in both and get hired to do more films like JLo. I think more non-fans view her differently and show more respect since 2015. But I didn’t forget she does music cause I still need LG6-10 in my life! She’s an emalgamation of all the elements that create a true artist, in every sense of the word. You can’t just say Lady Gaga is a singer, or Lady Gaga is an actress without acknowledging the 20x other things she is. We never know what to expect, and whenever she transforms it’s into something as equally epic (and often better) to whatever she did previously. While it’s kind of hard to adjust to every changing era (let’s be honest we all like one better than another), she really opens doors I didn’t know I had closed. I’ve learned to appreciate every single one and now I can’t pick because they’ve all shaped her career. This is why I’m proud to call myself a Lady Gaga stan. Because I’m not just stanning a singer with crazy outfits - I’m stanning someone who’s broken through multiple genres, changed pop music, fashion, and right now, she’s bringing back love and romance and powerful music to the film industry. She’s absolutely authentic & intelligent & kind. I don’t always know what she’s thinking, the gp don’t often know what she looks like, but we all know one thing, she is LADY GAGA. crisTEAne 21,059 Posted September 9, 2018 Share Posted September 9, 2018 nein, ever since the late stages of the post-ARTPOP era and especially from joanne onward, i feel that she won't be able to transform again, not like she used to, at least not in my eyes. i feel that i have a pretty strong perception of who gaga is. as of now, i'd be surprised if she was able to surprise me. i'm very proud of her multi-talentedness, if you will, but just like she found a sorta solid ground for her identity, i did too. and i think it's healthy. infatuations had to go for both of us. if you hurt taylor swift, i'll hurt you back Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
