Robagaga 9,345 Posted September 7, 2018 Share Posted September 7, 2018 Hurricane Florence Current State and Prediction Florence is currently a tropical storm meandering in the Atlantic. It was predicted to go into open seas however it is seeming more and more likely that it will make landfall in the US around Wednesday or Thursday. It would give it a 60-70% chance of hitting the US As you can see from this map nothing is sure and the areas where landfall might occur ranges from Florida to Virginia. If you live in these areas especially the Carolinas and Virginia I recommend starting to make preparations NOW. This might be a very strong hurricane if it makes landfall. I just want to repeat so that its clear. There is no immediate threat YET however it is important that you should be mentally and physically prepared if it were to hit the US. I will make updates whenever there is new info! Ugh I'm glad i may be moving up north because tornadoes and hurricanes are no fun. There can be 99 bottoms in the area but all it takes is 1 top to believe in you. Even if you are inland the storm might stall and cause COLLOSAL rainfall. These are the current estimates The so if you are inland remain careful! I would give it a 80-90% chance of making direct landfall in the US as or a cat 4 or 5. If you haven't started prepping I would really recommend to start ASAP.
