Gwen Stefani Is Why Trump Ran For President

As silly as that may sound, according to Michael Moore, Gwen Stefani is what made him run in the first place.

 

Allegedly (as has been reported a few times), Trump didn't really want to be president. According to Michael Moore, when Trump saw that Gwen Stefani was making more than him on NBC (Gwen was new to The Voice and Trump was still doing Celebrity Apprentice) that's when he made the decision to run. 

 

Moore says,

“He’d been talking about running for president since 1998, but he didn’t really want to be president. There’s no penthouse in the White House. And he doesn’t want to live in a black city. He was trying to pit NBC against another network, but it just went off the rails.”

So a “billionaire” was jealous that a talented icon with longevity is getting $10M for a show?

 

If he’s so rich, isn’t $10M just pennies compared to your $1,000,000,000+ ?

 

Also, if he’s such a good business man who can “negotiate,” why didn’t he just use his self proclaimed negotiating skills to get more money?

U don't negotiate much for CEO salary. Usually shareholders vote on that or in cases where they don't it's usually decided by the Corporate Board

 

I don't know all his businesses if he owns any non-corporate businesses perhaps he can set his own salary but they just aren't profitable enough?

 

An extremely small percentage of CEOs actually make over $10 Million a year. Theres a few that do but it's a very  small percentage. Most billionaires are billionaires by assets they grew in value by investing in things like stocks not because of their salaries alone.

 

A CEO making $10 Million a year (which is way more than most CEOs) would take 100 years to become a Billionaire on salary alone even if he payed no taxes and didn't spend a single penny

 

Perhaps Trump did make more on asset gains and he was simply jealous of the salary part of it?

From my understanding, he was upset with his NBC paycheck, not his CEO or business paycheck. 

 

“Following the first hit season of "The Apprentice" in 2004 (which was still early for reality TV), NBC doubled Trump's appearance fee to $3.2 million or $100,000 per episode for Seasons 2 and 3. However, his appearance fee likely increased during the show's peak. Plus, he owned 50 percent of his show, which brought in significantly more income over the course of 15 seasons. (He even continued earning money from it even after taking office.)”

 

All I was pointing out is that he claims to be such a good negotiator yet was unable to negotiate a higher appearance fee for his popular tv show from NBC.
