Has anyone seen the other "A Star is Born" versions?

I have tried to watch the 1976-version three times but failed 1/4 into the movie. I thought it was boring and slow, and I didn't like the music either... And I usually don't have any problems watching slow paced movies, but this one just felt so uninteresting and I didn't care for the characters or anything really. But I haven't given the other ones a try yet (if I do).

I think this new version of the movie looks fresh though, and I'm very excited to see what Gaga and Bradley will bring to it. I had never heard of 'A star is born' before Gaga was attached to it, so I think it will bring a light to the story for a new generation

I did, IMHO those past versions are not very watchable. It needed some fine tune. And Looks like Bradley did a good fine tune now from how I read these reviews. :diane:

I've seen them.  The one with Streisand can be a tad ...whatever lol.  I just dont think she was believable as a rock star personally but it's not bad.

The Judy Garland version is lovely if you can handle the pace. I sometimes love old movies like that tho.  Gone With The Wind, for example.  Pacing is different but if you give it time, it's great.

Yaaaaas I love gone with the wind and the Judy version
