Perfect Blockbuster Role For Lady Gaga (Not What You're Expecting)

Alright, so we've been hearing (most likely false) rumors about Lady Gaga being asked for a role in DC's Birds Of Prey, and most fans aren't happy about it. People think DC Films are generally not-well-recieved and could affect Gaga's reputation as an actress. And they have a point. I can't imagine Gaga playing someone like Black Canary alongside Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn, that'd look like a joke.

There is one DC movie however, that is a critic and fan favorite, the first female led superhero movie of the 2010s and the most successful one ever-- You all know which film line I'm talking about.

Wonder Woman 1 was based on the year of 1914-1918, World War 1. The villains were Doctor Poison and Ares, god of war.

Wonder Woman 2, called Wonder Woman '84, takes place in 1984 obviously, and Cheetah was confirmed to be the villain. The film is likely close to entering post-production.

So, it's safe to say that there will be Wonder Woman 3 and it will likely be set in present time. The villain is unclear, of course, since the movie is not even in the works yet. But I know the perfect present-day villain and the perfect actress to play her.

  

Meet Veronica Cale, One Of Wonder Woman's Best Villains

Veronica Cale is an American businesswoman and an enemy of Wonder Woman.

Origin

Cale founded the technology-based company Empire Enterprises with her friend Adrianna Anderson.

Veronica despised Wonder Woman as soon as she entered the world stage, believing her message of peace and love to be naive and ineffective. Approximately six months after Wonder Woman's arrival to the United States, Cale's daughter Isadorewas ambushed by the twin gods Phobos and Deimos. The gods took Isadore's soul and left her physical form faceless and unable to speak. They offered Veronica a deal; allow them to use Empire Enterprises' newly-developed Cyberwalk system to access Wonder Woman's mind in order to find the location of Themyscira, and they would grant Izzy her soul back. The Cyberwalk system was created to allow the full download of the consciousness of any individual exposed to it. Adrianna agreed to operate the Cyberwalk system while the gods lured Wonder Woman to be used as its subject. However, the procedure was interrupted midway through and Adrianna was killed. Having lost her daughter and her only friend, Veronica swore vengeance on the world.[1]

The Cyberwalk system downloaded the contents of Adrianna's mind in the process, allowing Veronica to create a duplicate of her friend in the form of an artificial intelligence. In this form, Adrianna dubbed herself Doctor Cyber. At the request of Phobos and Deimos, Veronica agreed to fund Wonder Woman's archeologist friend Barbara Minerva's expedition investigating the god Urzkartaga. Phobos and Deimos planned for Barbara to be transformed by Urzkartaga into the Cheetah and Veronica ensured Wonder Woman would not prevent this from happening. With the help of Doctor Cyber, she manufactured disasters all over the world to distract Wonder Woman while Barbara was given the curse of the Cheetah.[2]

Running out of hope to restore her daughter, Cale instead chose to focus on punishing Phobos and Deimos for their actions. She summoned the witch Circe, who agreed to use a ritual to transform the gods into dogs in exchange for a fee. Circe also revealed to Veronica that Isadore's soul had been taken by Phobos and Deimos' father, Ares, and she was imprisoned with him in a realm beneath Themyscira. In order to free Isadore's soul, Ares would have to be released.[3] In response, Veronica set up the organization Godwatch, dedicated to using Wonder Woman to find the location of Themyscira. She recruited the Cheetah and Colonel Poison and her Team Poison to the cause.[4]

I think Lady Gaga was made for this role, even though it's kind of a long shot for this to happen. This is honestly my dream as Veronica Cale is one of my favorite villains ever, and can you imagine how badass it would be to have her and Phobos and Deimos as the villains in Wonder Woman 3? People would love Gaga.

I know most of you are biased towards DC Films but read her story in the spoiler part above, give it a chance. It's a complex role with a badass summary.

So, anyone wanna push this casting with me?

No. 

DC is still a franchise that hasn't found footing and is struggling and ultimately could be canceled within the next few years and rebooted down the line. Gaga being associated with that will draw ire from the public, no matter how good or bad the movie is, because Marvel is THAT franchise. 

I'm not entirely sure a villain role in a superhero movie would be the best role for her, but there are plenty Marvel movies coming down with plenty of villains she could do. 

I'm also sure Stan Lee at one point at least joked about him wanting Gaga to be in the universe.

She can be the first tho I guess. This casting is just too perfect IMO. If Shazam and Aquaman do good we can safely say that DC is safe, not to mention even if DC Films went down I wouldn't be too surprised to see Wonder Woman continue.

Yeah... I just feel like DC is the more queer and woman-friendly one, that's all. I love Marvel comics and I wish the X-Men were a part of the MCU, or the other way around. That's where the iconic Marvel women are. Emma Frost, Storm, Mystique, Kitty Pryde, Phoenix (Jean Grey), Polaris, Jubilee, Magik and Scarlet Witch labeled an actual MUTANT ffs

NO DC.... Marvel.. It makes more coins, and has better stories then any of the other comic universes both in comic form and cinematic. 

If you dont think that this would be the perfect role i dont know whats wrong.

What's the obsession with comic books/super hero movies... 

If there was anything I'd want her to do it'd be comedy.. she's really funny on SNL, and I think a break into comedy movies, like Jennifer Aniston's roles etc. would be sooooo good..

I'm more of a DC fan myself so I would definitely be here for it.

But I do agree with some fans' concern that DC needs to establish itself as a good franchise first. Aquaman and Shazam! must not flop. Zack Snyder already left the directorial seat, if other directors mess up as well this is going to look really bad for DC.

I REALLY want it to do well, but I agree. 

IMO I think the DCEU should cancel itself and distance itself from the mess that was BvS, Man of Steel, Suicide Squad and Justice League and reboot in five years with a long-term plan like Marvel had. I appreciate the darker tone DC carries, but some of it comes across as corny. 

If you would've told people 10 years ago that a THIRD Thor movie (with the two preceding it being mixed reviews and bad reviews) would outgross Justice League... people would first ask who is Thor. Marvel is making these unknown heroes ICONIC and DC makes their ICONIC characters hated.

I don't get this comic books/super hero movies thing, you've seen one, you've seen them all, they are generally boring with no characters development, full of clichés and school boys level scripts. We are now over saturated with these things and their sequels, Gaga will just be drown in that mediocre mass as another celebrity feature. Nothing to get excited for her there.

I would be more keen in her appaearing in a DCEU film if it’s in the WW franchise.

That said, hopefully the next wave of MCU films shows better writing with women characters. It’s been progressing, though.
